plantar fasciitis.....HELP!

I wouldn't recommend anything cold on your foot in that area. Try soaking your feet in warm water for 30 minutes and then stretch/massage for 15 minutes. Stay off treadmills and utilize ellipticals or bicycle and limit walking. Also walk slowly through stores, the faster you walk the greater risk of flare up. I have the same problem.
 
I have a 2" PVC pipe next to my bed that I roll my feet on every morning before I head to the bathroom. Being consistent for about a week made all the difference .....never have problems any more but still roll every morning.
 
been rolling my foot every night and morn and cut cardio to eod rather than 5-6 days a week. got NEW shoes. and they FIT. has made a HUGE difference. I have big feet (size 13.5 to be exact) but they don't make half sizes after 12.5 in US.... so I found some European addidas cross trainging shoes and they are 13.5!!!!!! its my first 13.5 shoe EVER. I always have to get lil big or lil small shoe or buy a shoes that run small etc.
anyway, I think in few weeks this plantar pain should be gone. thanks for all advices!
(don't let it happen to you at EARLIEST sign of pain get new shoes and "get the ball rolling")

There's a brace you can buy to wear while you're sleeping. It greatly helped when i was a firefighter
 
my doctor gives me cortisone shots directly into the arch. i then constantly stretch that part of my foot as well as keeping it massaged a couple times a week. i have dealt with it for 10 yrs and it keeps me completely pain free. see a podiatrist
