Pms Not so Private afterall!! I need some opinions

Ok check this out guys..
I was helping mod on a board www.xtrememass.com.
Well turns out the Owner BIGMIKE has been reading My
Pm`s the entire time!!

I got an email today from a good friend and fellow mod On a few boards and he told me that I was banned for Source talking in Pms.....

The sorry little weasel didnt even tell me himself or confront me on it. The board is a peice a shit anyhow and HE CAME to me
and asked me to be a mod, I agree and now Look at what he does.

Says in his Mind it is Ok for the board owner to hack into Pms
of Mods and members. BULLSHIT I TELL YA.

he didnt read anything that amounted to shit just me and ***
suppoasdly talking source talk.

The Idea Of this REALY burns my ass, Is this not wrong???

It is a hack that any board can install... and even if the hack isn't installed, anyone with db access can view pm's. If you don't trust the people with admin priveledges to not read your pm's, it's probably best that you don't participate in the board!

Honestly, I wouldn't discuss anything private through pm's regardless.

I didnt know the owners could very easily read thru them.

Im smart enough to know not to say MUCH in them,

But the idea of him reading thru My messages that are
labled "PRIVATE MESSAGES" Is 100% bullshit and sneaky.

Honestly, I wouldn't discuss anything private through pm's regardless.

This is a GOOD rule to live by - take it to a secure e-mail unless you don't mind if the world see's what you've said. I doubt Big A would ever do this but someone else could hack in to take a look.

Many know that I will not discuss certain things via PM.

It was a good wakeup call for me and Im sure many others

I always thought it was common knowledge that PMs were not
secure, so to speak. That said no damn owner should be reading PMs at random-and as was said if they do, its not a board you want to be on anyway.
I can safely say that the mods here are old well known vets, of the highest standards. That starts with BigA and none of that bullshit will happen here. But email is best for secure conversation.

Since rajjin decided to go around to numerous other boards and tell his side of the story I felt I would tell mine for anyone that checks this site...

rajjin was accused of being a scammer, I PM'd him asking about the accusations and was flat ignored by him. Now ask yourself this, if you were in my position, and one of your MODS was accused of this, you try to talk to your mod about it and are completely ignored by him, what would you do?

So I decided to follow him myself and see if there may be any truth to it, at which I found him sourcing via PM's. Even though he had publicly admitted not long before that he was "out of the game". Through his PM's I found addresses/pricing lists/and phone numbers.

I have said right from the beginning this board is not open source, and will not be open source, apparently rajjin was confused by this

Now, IMO it should have been an IP perma ban immediately after seeing this, however I made a post in our mod forum asking this to be stopped, and after 3 days passed, and these PM's werent removed, THEY were removed as mods. I did not ban them, I simply de-modded them and disabled their PM's, which in turn was my mistake as I sent them a PM explaining what I had done, and I take responsibility on that fuck up

And rajjin, your post on SBI says this "Didnt vist the shitty board much
anyway so can careless about that" if thats the case I'd like to know why your are going around whining about this on multiple boards, you broke the rules, you got your ass booted.

Youve proved yourself to be nothing more than a whiny little punk, and youve reduced me to making this post simply so some of these people that might come over from the various boards you are crying at can see both sides of the story.

CLIFF NOTES: rajjin broke the rules, I gave him a chance to make up for it, he ignored that chance, and is now gone

It's a hack that would have to be installed... OR, an admin can change the password of a member (not view passwords, as they are stored encrypted in the database, only change them to the password of their choice) and then log in as that member and read pms, or even send them, etc. etc etc.

I have known rajjin for quite a while...he is a very good guy..has never sent me in the wrong direction..I think the raj has good morals...and that is why it pissed him off that the guy would snoop around his shit....it isn`t right, what big mike did, looking in members pms, it just isn`t right! that is an act that has no moral...

Everytime I have chatted withrAJJIN, he has been a true professional and never had a negative word to say about anyones board.

Honest to god I think he is upset I didnt spend enough time there

As far as snooping, I beleive he read My Pms on both Boards

saying in our Pm`s. I know 1 other Good board Owner I trust
BadHam.. other then that I dont trust any of them.
