Opinions on doc appointment

When i was still natural Dr.s would ask if i was using steroids then just figure i was lying when i said no. Once i started using gear they quit asking as it was obvious. Just because the new guy took over your last Dr.'s practice doesn't mean you have to work with him. I always check out where they went to school, interned etc. To see if i will let them work on me.

Would you guys refrain from having your doc order labs for say test or e2? If your total test comes back 5x the normal range, or even normal range with no tsh or fsh, isn't that just as good as coming out and saying it to begin with?

I think it's too late to edit but should have been lh not tsh lol

Lots of good advice. I would feel the guy out first. No harm in telling a visit or two down the road. Also explaining you are only there to be healthy and not try and be deceitful in anyway.

Personally, there are some labs I just pay for out of pocket online, to not throw it in my doctors face.
Just a basic men health test checking Test etc is like $300. That to me is just crazy. I can afford it but that's just stupid expensive to test a few things. IMHO.

It’s a lot cheaper than a heart attack, kidney failure or liver disease.

One kit or pharma pin of HGH or peace of mind for your health. Both will be near that same price point.

Not hating or saying it couldn’t be cheaper, but there’s no price you can put on your health when doing this sport IMO.

Like I said before I only see my primary doc once a year. So I would have to get to know him quick. Lol. Its a big practice. My doc retired and he is the one taking over for him. I don't have time to run around doctor shopping. Yeh if I get a bad vibe from him I'll go elsewhere. I can't be like a pill head out doctor shopping for prescriptions. Lol.

I knew somebody was gonna say that. Ha ha. My primary doc runs a Complete Metabolic every year. I stay on top of my health. I of my own volition had a Cardiac Ct Scan done in 2018. I'm saying its crazy to pay $300 just to know your Test, E2, etc. Not that those things aren't important. But that information isn't as important as knowing how your kidneys, liver, cholesterol, etc. are.

Very true. I run all that with hormones on Ulta for about $300 along with advanced markers.

The hard part for doctors is that they have to put an insurance code when they run certain markers so it doesn’t get kicked back. That is the screwed up part of the medical system. That’s usually why a doctor won’t run a certain marker.

Yeh I was thinking along those lines also. Even if he runs those extra test the insurance might say "why are you running these test". I think I'm just gonna meet with the guy and if he ask I'll play the word game. So not technically admitting anything. If he doesn't ask, which he probably won't my other doc never did but I think he suspected it, I'm not gonna say anything and just get the test done myself. I put on 18lbs between visits one time with my old doc and he looked at me and said "you've put on 18lbs"? I said "yeh I've just been eating a lot more and taking Creatine". He gave me this look like I don't believe that shit for one minute. But he never asked anything ever.

I saw my cardiologist last week and I was 22lb up from when I last saw him. He didn’t say a word. 😂 At some point they just “know” and it doesn’t need to be said.

you should be shopping for a health professional.
imagine if you actually had a real health issue.
things like this are a big part of why the medical system is so fucked up.
not being part of the solution is being part of the problem.

Honestly considering you only see him 1x a year anyways it doesn’t sound like he’s very involved so I wouldn’t say anything.

Well a doc can write or speculate on anything. But that's all it is. Unless you openly admit something then anything he "speculates" on is nothing more than that. That would never hold up in a court of law and in fact if something he "speculates" on is put in your file and is then attempted to be used against you by an insurance company possibly I would think could get him in a lot of trouble. He can write medical facts and his opinion. Nothing more.
You’re correct but his medical opinion is what the insurance company would use to screw you. My docs I’ve all felt out been honest with and until I switched to the VA they went to bat for me lied for me several acc Would sit there and ask about how cycles work and what drug synergies and protocols and why they gobbled it up. And over the years I’ve picked up to MD one runs a wellness clinic the other a skincare with wellness add ins like wegovy, vita shots, IVs etc and their pad is my pad as long as it’s not a triplicate. The docs under 55 are generally fun and on trt and etc plu fucking Botox and all kinds of shit they are all mid life close hounds lol

Just from my experience. I would proceed cautiously. I used to have what I thought was off the record conversations with my old family doctor but later down the road my ex wife was his physicians assistant and come to find out he charted everything that was said. I'm not sure it's true but I was always told that certain things in your charts could be flagged and gives the insurance companies reasons for denial of coverage. When it comes to certain situations it's best just to say less.
