Yes, that's what I go by to make adjustments
No, I go by appetite, feel, instinct, how I look, etc.

Kitchen scale was one of the best $20 investments i've made. Takes 2 seconds to weigh whatever and you know exactly what you're getting.

I find that weighing my food helps me stay consistent day to day while dieting. I do, however, eyeball certain foods that I use all the time once I'm used to seeing what my portion sizes look like.

I'm pretty good at eyeballing a chicken breast at this point but I use my kitchen scale fairly rigourously.

While i'm on a cutting diet I tend not to use my food log as my diet is so monotonous but during the off season I also log my food fairly religiously.

I weigh food all the time bulking and dieting. How can you know wether you need more or less calories unless you conssitently weigh everything. I guess im a lil obsessed i weigh every meal everyday and eat the same food at the same time everyday but i compete so i see it as a nessecary.

i live by the food scale. I way every every thing that i am eating. I find it helps me stay consistant and strict. It does suck at times.

I use my Digital scale big time. The one I have also tells you how many calories, protein, carbs etc is in the food that I weigh... Comes with a manual, just punch in the number of the food weighing and you have calories and everything. I verified it with multiple sources, and it is damn accurate for counting calories etc.

Kitchen scale was one of the best $20 I have ever spent. In my head I know my much I need to each of each food so its fast.

I weigh everything, bulk or cut. I can't imagine a good reason why you would not like to know exactly what you are eating.

What is the brand of your scale?

ha this is probably why i cant get past 13%bf ...
i need a dam scale :D

Mind if I ask where you found it, or what brand and model it is? I would kill to have a scale like that

I eat the same thing every day so for the most part there's no need for me. I buy 4.25lb cans of tuna so I have to weigh my portions there, but 7 jumbo eggs is going to be within a few grams every time.
I have to admit though, I now want that scale Big Chef posted.

only when changing phase of diets

if i am going from off season to contest prep i will weigh my food for 3-5 days making sure to cook and weigh all the food i intend to eat during that prep once i have the nmbers right i just stick to the same meals same portions etc.
i do the same when i switch to offseason as well. i just measure meals for a few days to make sure i have portions right tthen eye ball it from there.

IMO, no matter how precise you try to be food has trace amounts of this or that in it so if you get it very close then you are good to go. if you are not ripped by show time its not the 1 or 2 grams you didn't weigh right, you just didn't diet long enough or PROPERLY. IMO. -JS
