I am 27 years old. I have been working out since i was 16. I am 5'11 and 3/4 inches LOL! Here are some stats. I weigh 318, 38inch waist, 20 inch arms, 31 inch thighs. Bench 390#x1, leg press 630#x10. My bf is about 20%. I have been in the gym weight traning 3 days a week. Full body workouts. I'm just not losing the fat from my gut, and inner thighs. To cut off this excess bf is it ok to change to like one day a week weights, and like 6 days a week of cardio for an hour, combined with a clean diet and 2500 cals a day? Is this going to deplete my lean mass before my fat? I want to cut off at least 20 pounds. I have been bulking up the last few months eating about 300+ grams of protein with about 3500 cals. I get 30 mins of cardio 3 times a week. I can see improvements, i am replacing bf with lean mass, it is just to slow. I want to drop below 300# by summer. Any suggestions or input is greatly appreciated.

Hey bro, 300g of protein at 318lbs. is way to low in my opinion. What does rest of the diet look like (carbs and fats)? I would increase protein to 500-600g keep carbs real low and only from fuits and veggies and increase fats from eggs nuts and olive oil thats it no bad fats no bad carbs and spread it out over 6-8 meals a day. Have a menu so you know exactly what your gonna eat every day and be prepared. Unfortunately the stomach. legs,and low back are the last places for fat to come off. And remember its not supposed to be fun...
 
First let me say thanks for the input! Second let me say i think its fun! Except for the cardio, that sucks! It is amazing what you can do with the human body. I understand the whole concept of the high protein diet, and the balanced fat and carbs. At this point i don't really care about adding much more lean mass(well i do, but not my main focus). I just want to lose some fat, but not lose 2 much of the lean mass i have. I did one of those body fat calculations with the trainer. It basicly said i have 60 pounds of fat on my frame. Now i don't expect to get down to 2% bodyfat anytime soon. But to get down to say 12% is a pretty big goal to accomplish. What is the best way to do that without losing my guns? :D I wanna go shirtless all summer, :D so i have a good six months to cut and then do some more bulking.
 
remember the ratio for losing weight is 60% muscle 40% fat per lb lost so u r going to have to sacerfice those little guns my brotha. i say to my client its all what u want out of it if u want to lose then its u and only u who can do this. 1 can give u ample amounts of insight but its u who has to impliment to achieve

10g fish oil 3X a day for 20 days.
Them drop to 3g 3x a day.

Don't need to count calories just add veggies in every meal and cut the starches down to 1/4 of whatever you are doing.

When that stops working them you add some cardio.

This is what I would do brother. Bump the cardio up to 35 minutes a day, seven days per week. Every day! why not? you will lose weight faster.

Then I would increase it to 40 minutes and so on.

Keep training but increase the cardio
