it just needs to work it's way through the system. I don't think it needs to be cycled. It's up to you. Some people cycle supplements in order to surprise the body and maintain effectiveness of their regimen.
Should take a few days. Take it everyday. Don't just use it for one day and expect it to clean you out. It's natural fiber so it's not going to send you the toilet with violent bowel movements.
i take it twice per day to keep fibre up like has been said its not anything dramatic. i look at it like taking extra protien in supp form not a replacement for eating solid protien just "supplements" my diet.
It works great but like everything else you need regular intake of it to stay, well regular. When I started to supplement with fiber it took about 7-10 days of regular use to see that I was feeling better and eating more and keeping food moving through the system more. Stick with the plan and keep taking it twice a day and let the body get adjusted.

on a side note... I have no science with this tidbit but it's just personal experience... take your fiber after eating a meal and not on an empty stomach.
u can take it any time around meal, right b4 ur first bite, in the middle which i prefer, never had an issue with it interferring with meds or supps, which ones were u thinking of?
take it on an empty stomach because it will expand quickly with water. If you eat a big meal and then swig a decent dose of psyllium it could make you want to puke. Also, acute high fiber intake does interfere with absorption of certain minerals
