Guys i just found out that pumpkin seeds have a wooping 19g of protein per 1/4 of a cup, more than any other nut or seed. so my question is, how come i never hear of this being included in diets?

Also loaded with good fats, fiber and excellent for the prostate. Its the stuff baby!!

Compared it with other nuts, it has the lowest fat and carb content, but the highest protein (If i remember it right)

Best of all, it keeps your prostate safe!

WELL

Hiramabiff is correct they are very good for you but almost 20 grams of protein in a 1/4 cup, I doubt it !

Pumpkin seeds do a body good, of this there can be no doubt.
However, if I'm not mistaken, nuts and seeds are incomplete proteins. They lack a complete amino acid profile and therefore should not be used as primary protein sources. You can mix them with other 'incompletes' to round out the amino profile....

nuts and seeds.....

Vegetarians combine nuts and seeds to form complete proteins with healthy fats. Maybe a pumpkin seed-walnut blend?
prostate protection, heart healthy EFA's, and complete protein.

I eat a fruit and nut mix that is full of pumpkin, sunflower, peanuts, almonds, walnuts and some dried fruit. Awesome snack food!

its a whole, healthy food, so there is nothing wrong with including them in a healthy diet. Balance and diversity are good.
