I have a really good foundation of muscle already after years of training, yet I have let myself go a bit (too many fried bologna sandwiches, I guess) and am at around 21% BF and in desparate need of trimming down. Yet on the other hand, I want to get stronger and build more mass. I was wondering if a low-carb diet would accomplish both of these. Has anyone ever tried doing a cycle of anabolics/androgens, maintaining a high calorie count, and taking in a more than adequate amount of quality protein to gain mass while at the same time following a low-carb diet & taking an ECA stack along with doing low-intensity cardio? What would happen?
From a layman's perspective, it seems that the high protein would be sufficient for muscle-building, while the low-carb effect of ketosis would have a fat-burning effect. Am I wrong? If so, why?
