Any of you competing Power lifters think its better than reg. squats? for increasing power and size?
 
Do both. Most box squatting do with 50-70% of your max squatting. I wouldnt make it the staple of your squat training but it does help.

Box squatted every week, the only time we did regular squats was every saturday 6 weeks out from a meet to test out our equipment. I would box squat with 455 lbs in briefs, which translated to an 804 squat.
 
do both. The box squat will increase the amount of power, just because u ar used to pusing the weight up fast from the seated position.
