F Future Guest Jan 6, 2007 #2 Do both. Most box squatting do with 50-70% of your max squatting. I wouldnt make it the staple of your squat training but it does help.

Uluwatu Member Registered Joined Feb 4, 2007 Messages 503 Feb 7, 2007 #4 Box squatted every week, the only time we did regular squats was every saturday 6 weeks out from a meet to test out our equipment. I would box squat with 455 lbs in briefs, which translated to an 804 squat.
