Questions regarding HCG/HMG and Male Fertility

I've seen numerous studies stating that normogonadotropic men (does this mean normal size balls?) don't benefit from hcg or hmg treatment. It's proven, though, that hypogonadotropic guys (small balls?) benefit from the treatment.

My ball size had recovered almost a month into PCT and now after a couple months they're bigger than ever but my girl still isn't pregnant and I'm worried. Wondering if it's just a waiting game and it'll happen soon or if HMG is needed.

Or do the terms normogonadotropic or hypogonadotropic have nothing to do with testicle size? Believe it or not a search on google didn't reveal the definition of these words and I'm just assuming..

If I remember correctly it takes 3 months for sperm to completely mature, so If youve only had one month off, assuming this is the reason for a lack of production etc etc, then yes it is a waiting game, we hope.

it happened to me

i used hcg 2 years or more ago and after about 45 days or more my wife came to me and said she was pregnant. granted me and her broke up we still got what hcg is known for a, and that is a high sperm count and normal levels of testosterone.

Get a sperm count done. My boys are bigger than ever and still shooting blanks and this is after about 6 months of being clean and taking clomid. I'll be starting HCG per swale's articles this month with or without a script.

In the mean time, what was recommended to me was 2g/day of vitamin C, and B12 injections (both are supposed to increase sperm concentrations) as well as all the usual stuff like folic acid, etc...and if you do go to see a fertility specialist, try and get a male doctor who is also familiar with endocrinology. We saw a female specialist and the sum total of her knowledge on the male system was "Can you get hard? Can you ejaculate? Well, I'm stumped."

While the Latin derivatives of both words could be interpreted that way, I believe is incorrect. I read something similar that in Men's Health a while back and laughed out loud. "Hypo" means under, beneath, or less. For instance, would you say that hypogonadic means "less gonads"? Or "small balls"? No. That would be like saying a hypodermic needle is used for someone with "small skin". In reality it means "beneath the skin".

When you say normogonadotropic, you mean low sperm production even in the presence of normal gonadotropin levels. Men like this may need something to produce even more LH and FSH to achieve normal sperm production.

That's how I look at it.

fertility

Been thru this with my wife several years ago. If you have low sperm count due to AAS use, it should return to normal within 3 months at the latest if I remember correctly from the research I did when trying to get my wife pregnant. As it turns out I was born with a genetic condition that causes sterility and my fertility protocal was basically 150mg daily clomid with 1500 mcg HCG. Befor my count was never higher than 1500. It took almost 2 years for my first son, and another 10 months for my twin boys. You can get a Do It Yourself tester thru Walgreens online, which is what I used so I didn't have to whack it in the doctors office every month. It will basically tell you if you are over or under the 20 million mark, not motility or any of that. My drug regimine was strickly by experimentation, I did not have a fertility doctor, just my regular Gen Practitioner. Online research is hard because they don't want any of the secrets out. I hope this helps, I know it can be really hard when the ol lady keeps blaming the AAS. Also, no cardio, go commando for a while, quick showers ( or cool water ). Keep the balls cool.

I have a post about my fertility isuses here. If you are on steroids FOR YEARS it may take YEARS to get your sperm numbers back up. Nearly 1 year off and my last count was 5 million. Under 20 and you have fertility issues. I am going back tommorow for a 2nd test. You dont have to believe me but I suggest if you have been on for years and your girl gets pregnant check out the MAURY show. you just may be suprised. oh, it turns out I have a vericose vein on one of my nuts that isnt helping and I may need to have it removed.

ive also read that ALCAR is beneficial to sperm motility, so if ya want to add that into the mix

lol, I tell my wife if she ever gets pregnant the first thing we need to do before we pick out a name is to get a DNA test done. :D

Glad, well maybe not glad, but its good to know I am not alone in this. It sucks hearing how my bad choices are causing our infertility issues. I am sure you hear it as well from time to time. I am going to a specialist now so there is no guess work. Good luck and keep us posted.

Good luck. The way I look at it is that if there's only a 1% chance that I can father a child right now and she gets pregnant then that means its a 99% chance the kid isn't mine. I trust my wife, but I trust simple mathematics more. :D

For jrs and w8, if you guys are making appointments to see specialists you may want to take a few minutes to print off some of the reports about treatment from www.andrologyjournal.org. So far I've seen 3 doctors, one is a GP who has no clue about this stuff, one was a reproductive specialist who had no clue about this stuff, and the last guy today was a urologist who literally had no idea of how to treat this, so you may be on your own in educating the doctors you are dealing with. Cheers guys, good luck.

For example, this study actually deals with HCG treatment of men who's sperm production was shut down using test E and then restored.
