i havent been posting much lately but ive been reading alot. the more i read about different programs the more i realize its the same type of person thats successful with each one. it also seems like there are a few basic underlying themes that seem to get people the results the fastest. These are just my opinion on the matter.

training - for the genetically average like myself i really believe low volume, compound movements, and weight that makes you want to puke is the key. Now, there are many many different approaches to this, Phil hernon's style of training, 5x5, Dc training. but i believe to gain the MOST MASS WITH ANY OF THESE PROGRAMS you MUST GET CONSISTANTLY STRONGER. well you cant just get stronger forever or we would have everyone on this board benching 1000 lbs. so how do we keep getting stronger? DIET

DIET - its 75%of the game here guys. Some people cant figure out why Phil;s Diet works and DC's diet works and so on. or at least theres people that aruge it. well here it is. if your doing your job in the gym youll be STARVING. and essentialy jamming 450-600grams of protien down your throat hole! thats a Shit Ton of calories on its own, and that doesnt include healthy fats and carbs. this doesnt mean go be a fat pig. learn your body and feed it what it needs not junk. it took me a damn year to figure out what i needed and i had PHIL helping me. now i get to cruise along rarely thinking about it just eating as i see fit based on what my body is doing. almost on auto pilot. but auto pilot with a food scale. you cant guess weights and measurements. first thing your going to need to to to start figuring this out is research and pick a diet. stick with it for a month and see where your at. after that you can adjust nutrients to suit your goals. but you gotta eat and you gotta eat big. if your not getting in at least 450g protien your never gonna be the monster you want to be.

Supps - no not juice regular sups. theres a few i swear by but i like things simple. when it comes to this stuff im not that bright so i follow the KISS rule( Keep It Simple Stupid!). Multi vitamen, creatine, fish oil caps, LBA, WPI, and other than that i dont see a need, especialy one in my budget right now to add to that. if you have the money i say go nuts but personally i like those as staples. oops forgot one asprin a day.

super supps - dear god where to start? ok 2 rules. 1)reach your natural genetic potential before even thinking about it. 2)read everything BIGA,DAD, DATBTRUE, PHIL HERNON, PESTY, B_BOY, MIKE 1107,DOGGCRAPP, jesus this list can go a while, Wrote about it. learn how to keep yourself safe. if you flick this pitbull in the nuts you will get bit!

Recovery - i feel like its really 2 stages. one is giving the body time to heal. lets face it you cant just beat on something over and over again without giving it a break to repair. but you also need to give it the supplies to repair itself. thats part 2, which takes us right back to diet. see it realy is 75%of al of this.


consisntancy - For the love of Christ stick with a program for more that a month! you dont get a day where you go in the gym and are supposed to smash out a colon blowing set of squats and just decide your going to half ass it. get your ass in gear and this those weights harder than chris browns new girlfriend!(too soon?...lol)Seriously you want to be a freak? hammer out a routine, any routine, for years on end constantly progressing in weight, dont miss a single meal for 2 years and then look back and see how far you have come.

Success is going to be about imposing your will on yourself every day. Look at BALDNAZI's pic the guy is a fucking freak. do you get stared at in a croud the way he probably does? same with B-Boy, Dusty Hanshaw, Alex a, Chris250 and i could go on and on these guys all imposed the'ir own will not to be average on themselvs and had the balls to go through with it.

this is just what ive been thinking about the past couple of days.

Good post Tk...I'd like to add something too.
Intensity- Be as intense as you can..and keep getting more so..if you arent in the right state of mind to move heavy weight..you arent going to...do what ever it takes to get it done..for me..its music.

Water- I'd say either #1 or #2 most anabolic thing you have at your hands...over 70% of your body is water..a drop in 20% of water means death..and 10% means extreme dehydration.
If your urine is bright yellow..drink more..it should be nearly clear with a light tint to it.
You can survive w/o food for weeks..with out water you'll last about 3 days.


Diet- a great way to get more protein...liquid egg whites(pasturzed) I add a little bit to every shake I take..digests good and slow..get BV%.
Also for diet...The total % absorbed is what's important...not speed..think about it...


consisntancy- I feel this is very important...everyone wants everything yesturday..be constant with what you do..school...job...bodybuilding..and you will see results.

OCD- This is one of my biggest pet peeves..dont stress over stupid shit.
Got cardio? Just get it done..refer to the point above this.
Don't over analiyzie every little thing..think missing 1 meal out of 2190 is going to mess you up?
Dont fucking measure your food al the time...I eat like a horse...measure it to begin with to get an eye ball amount of how much to have...then just eye it from there...I really don't believe -/+ 5 grams of protein or w/e a day is going to kill you at all.









I want everyone to re read what T said about being constant 2 times...if you're constant..you'll get results...simple.

I feel the getting stronger method holds true to most. I'm eating 6-8 meals a day now and getting pretty strong. I had a competition yesterday with 405 for reps in deadlift, as many as you can get in a minute. I got 15. I have 600lb in me. I know it. But it still worries me that I've been the same weight 155-160 for almost 2 years now. I think metabolism is a big factor. Maybe the weight will come on when that slows down.

7_Deadly_Sins- Great post as well. The liquid egg whites in a shake is genius! I cant believe i never thought of that. How much do you think is too much to put in the shake if I'm mixing it with milk as the liquid and natty pb/oats/whey?

It tastes like water by its self..so you could make a shake out of it entirely..I like it in shakes..gives it a very small, but good taste to shakes.

first off what are you talking about? you have a ton of knowledge, payed your dues and know what its like to break your fucking back with hard work consistancy and dedication. so damn right ill put you right there with those guys. and your freaky mass to boot.

b~rad - low dose asprin thins the blood alittle. its why heart attack victims use low dose asprin....think about it a while and youll figure out why its used.

Do you usually eat at first sign of hunger or do u wait till you stomach starts to grumble a bit? I do feel hungry at random times but have no idea if its a craving or true hunger. Stomach seems to be empty when i feel the "hunger" but it aint grumbling yet. Though recently i started eating when hungry at first sign and strength/performance seems to be going up in the gym.

I have no problem with eating, just the opposite, as i do not want to gain additional body fat with more meals. My hunger has been going up lately compared to the past few months earlier when i just started out with phil and your pretty damn right that training hard and consistent would cause this.

Would love to hear you opinions on these hunger signs as i dun wanna bug phil too much sometimes. Also, do you have full macro meals(pro/carb/fat) all the time when your hungry or just protein only in some meals?

Egg whites contain a glycoprotein called "avidin" which binds biotin - one of the B vitamins - very effectively. The cooking process deactivates the avidin in the egg. Excessive use of raw egg whites could also cause a biotin deficiency.

IMO cook them to a light scramble or into other recipes and don't ever drink them

I agree with Aeliop...Not only are you not utilizing them to their fullest degree but I just dont see the point of drinking them...cook your eggs like any other food and use LBAs or a protein supp if your looking to drink/get in a quick serving.

Even if they're pasturized? I noticed you said raw eggs..so ?

SABAGOY, I hate cooked eggs..other than hard boiled..and I eat a ton of them daily..the liquid ones I have are just simple and fast..I add them to a protein supp..I add about 1-2 oz to water with whey.

there is a trick to this. I like to get food in when i start to get hungry. as for the full macro meals it depends on how soon i get full and what it is my body is craving. the trick is to learn your body. the better you understand your body and what it wants and needs youll be able to feed better and optimize results. i posted and example of what i ate one day by lunch time and i got 100 pm's...lol asking wheres your carbs, and why didnt you eat any fat at that meal. its simple. i started eating, and when i got full i may not have finished the meal. if i didnt finish oh well...i was full. i was still knocking back a good 500 grams of pro, 250-300grams of carbs and 200 grams of healthy fat in a day. spend some time talking to phil about your specific cravings, how often you get hungry, and how it effects your training and body. he will guide you toward learning your body.

Pasturization isn't enough to deactivate the avidin. You could do it with a light scramble.

If you had to chose which part to eat raw, you would be better off eating the yolk.

This is the biggest one for a lot of people, and its so right on the money. Since paying attention to my diet and focusing on consuming mass amounts of protein its begun to take my body to a new level while maintaining a semblance of leanness. I thank DC and his guidelines for dieting, especially for a genetically average person. For those who haven't read it I suggest you do so, its a real eye-opener.

It has been said a million times and it needs to be said a million more, that being, "All the gear in the world won't do shit it if you don't eat like a monster."
