No it can't cause diabetes. Health issues don't come from specific foods they come from being too fat.I have a mild heart condition since birth. Every 6 months I see a very reputable cardiologist. He actually founded the heart clinic that I go to. We had a discussion on bacon and he went on a 15 minute rant about just how bad it was for me to eat it. He threw tons of research at me to prove his point and I'm not trying to discredit him by any means, just seeing what other people's opinions are about the subject. He said it's a processed meat so it's deemed a carcinogen, he said after it's heated it becomes even more carcinogenic and even though it has no carbs the saturated fats can cause type 2 diabetes. Any thoughts?
Your heart dr is repeating utter nonsense
