UG / Poorly handled gear regularily has bacteria problems. Re-Filtering is good common sense.
Llewellyn's latest round of tests for his book confirm this to be true.
Many UGL's and all of the middle men are not HG Pharma with all the safe guards in place. It's caveat emptor.
I use a .2 micron syringe filter into lab sterilized vials. This does not remove endotoxins from the gear if it was compromised but it will keep me from getting infected if the gear has been contaminated as the result of poor process or handling.
You know, accidents happen. Even the best UGL can make a mistake and someone can get sick. It's cheap to refilter/bake, why not do it?
After being in a lab setting, even then stuff was contaminated from time to time. It rarely happened but hey, as the old saying goes "shit happens". I'll be the first to admit I've never refiltered/baked gear until recently. But after doing it and the ease of it, I'll always do it for UGL gear. Not HG.
Hehehe,,,now I'm really confused. I'm gonna bake mine for 1 hour at 250 and vent after. Know it's not gonna kill the endotoxins, but WTF! Was thinking about pressure cooking as well.
Want to try UV sterilization for my test suspension. This should be interesting.

The UV that kills microbes will also degrade the drug that is why all drugs are typically labelled with instructions to store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Baking will also degrade the drug but not to such an extent that there is no active substance left. For those that doubt that any degradation occurs as a result of baking you haven't looked far and wide enough for the evidence. There is at least one paper that I know of that specifically looked at the degradation of Trenbolone as a result of heat exposure. The study was concerned with confirming that no active Trenbolone would remain in cooked meat. (Thanks to BOS forum -- which appears to be down -- for the reference.)
