assuming that you are not using oral aas....
assuming that you are only using injectables...
do you think it's good idea to drink little bit of red wine for health???
i heard it's good for your heart.....
or do you think it's bad idea because of blood pressure??

I have the same question as well....

But substitute "vodka and rum" everywhere he said "red wine".

Oh, and I'm not on any orals either.

:D :D :D

i think that your question is one that each individual needs to answer for him/herself.

I have seen more than enough proof in my mind that a glass of red is good for a person's health.

that being said, that although I do enjoy a fine merlot.. I choose not to drink when im being serious about my diet.

HOWEVER.. on the rare occasions that wifey and I get to go out for a nice dinner. I may indulge myself with a glass of red or a beer or two. but I treat those like cheat meals.

Crown is better :p

1 glass of red wine/day is good for you as long as its only 1 glass...i have my own small vineyard and so do most of my relatives & they all live to be 90-100 so i guess theres something to it...alex

I don't see where drinking a glass of wine every now and then hurts anyone...

It's margaritas that get me in trouble :devil-smi

resveratrol

for all the health benefits of red wine without the alcohol you can supplement with resveratrol.

if one glass of red wine is good... is two glasses really good?

Plenty of polyphenols... as long as you limit your intake to 1 glass 2x a day, your heart will thank you big time :)

Lots of studies done on the subject in south of Europe's Mediterranean countries.

2 glasses of wine per day....

is very good for you. The health benefits are numerous and, fwiw, an interesting study that I've recently read sugested that white wine may have as many health improving qualities as red. Another interesting thing I've read about and have been told by some MD friends is that the low dose of alcohol is an important part of the health improving component. I have a very close relative who has an MD/MPH from a big time university in MA and she is a big advocate of moderate wine drinking (2 glasses per day).

ya its good..

now i have also heard that you have to have a certian kind of red wine to get the proper benifits, something about the way it is made... i kow aesop knows a lot about it maybe he will chime in here...

one of my buddies started drinking a glass every night and it brought his cholesterol down significantly after only a month or 2.....and i think he was drinking some pretty cheap stuff..

i dont drink but i am fascinated with the way wine is made... malic777 you make me very jealous, i would love to have a vineyard!

i will see if i can find the info on the wine and post it......

AP13, I have read the same. I have also seen studies where those that drink an occasional beer or have a glass of wine, statistically live longer than those who never touch it. Point being, it may be more than the antioxidents. Could it be the blood thinning effects of alcohol or maybe people that have an occasional drink are more relaxed and happy in their lives? ;)
