Yea Breon I think was what the IFBB wanted to push so he got those wins. Then they saw what was possible with 212 and Classic and he lost his shine. I think he also stopped pushing the limits of his physique bc he is great but he’s never blown me away, there are plenty of dudes at the expo that blow Breon away can’t say that for Clarida or Bumstead etc. I’m not saying he’s not great but he’s not timeless, CB and Clarida will be talked about for decades, yea he won but Levrone, Priest, and Wheeler never win it all and they’ll be talked about. I totally love DJ total great guy and from Bantamweight to Mr.O but when we talk about him we talk about “The Shreddder” the journey from bantamweight to Superheavy right, his Mr. O look was great but compared to the 30 years before it and the 10 after it he loses to every other Olympia champ. My point is winning it all is great (although Breon didn’t win Mr. O) but greatness is a career more so than one weekend.
Oh agreed but the rest of him is freaky, his neck is not huge with small anything else, he just blows everyone else’s neck away while having a huge neck. If it were his calves there’d be no blow back on circus look but honestly mens open we come for the freaks and he is a freak!
