SAM-e and liver care

So I wanted to know thoughts on SAM-e and Liver health. My doctor wants me on this product for my liver health and he swears it is one of the better products out there for the Liver. Does anyone here take this and if so have you seen any difference? How many MGs are you taking? Thanks

First off, why does he want u on it. Did u do labs for liver function. What were ur results. Sam-e is a poor choice, IMHO. Many better products out there. However, u need to know the issue with ur liver. Is it swollen, fatty, high alt/ast, did he do a complete liver panel? Need more info bro.

AST/ALT are high but these numbers can be high just due to working out etc I know the GGT test is the true test for liver function. That has been ordered and will keep you posted.

I also take liv52 and milk thistle but he truly believes in the SAM-e....

The SAM-e helps to increase the presence of glutathine in the liver, SAM-e conteins the ingredint S-Adenosiyl Methine, you can take it with liv 52 and Milk thistle.

I used to take liver tablets and fish oil capsuls all the time growing up and workingout. I seemed to always have more energy and I would take a couple every about 5hrs. I noticed the difference when I ran out my workouts were much better for some reason with them. I just used to burp them alot though that was the only downside. MM

I have read studies that lead me to believe that SAM-e is one of the better choices out there for liver protection.

Plus it has numerous other benefits.
