Shingles vaccine under 50

How about if you already have suffered from shingles, does the vaccine do you any good then? I broke out in what appeared to be shingles toward the end of recovering from chicken pox as an adult. I was so sick that the dermatologist had be sneak around the rear of the building and come in the back door! She didnt want her other patients to see me. I looked like a leper.

i had shingles when i was 12 yrs old,i got the new vaccine a few years ago .forgot the name but I explained the past to my primary and she said the new vaccine works even if you previously had shingles

Herpes Simplex I: Cold sores / lips
Herpes Simplex II: Genital warts
Herpes Zoster:
Chicken Pocks as a child
Shingles as an Adult (if u had Pocks)

"The approval is based on a Merck clinical trial that showed the vaccine to be about 70% effective in preventing shingles in the younger age group. The study also found that even when vaccinated 50-somethings did get shingles, they suffered far less pain and far shorter bouts of the painful, sometimes disabling disease.Mar 24, 2011".

"The recommended and minimum age for Shingrix is 50 years. However, if a dose is inadvertently administered to an adult 18 through 49 years of age CDC does not recommend repeating the dose. The second Shingrix dose should not be administered until the 50th birthday.Feb 19, 2021"
