Bro, I've been there and feel your pain...its awful. Miracle Cure for me after thorough research was Oil of Oregano.

Get the pure (non diluted) oil. It is very potent and you will need to use just a little bit and mix with a neutral oil (I used almond oil) and 50/50. Rub on the shingles. It will burn like hell but it cured me in about 36 hours totally.

Oil of Oregano is a potent anti-viral.

Ask for some topical lidocaine if you want some real pain relief. Only lasts a couple of hours, but is very effective. It wouldn't hurt (literally) to put the oil of Oregano on after the lidocaine.

wondering if i should continue gh and aas while having shingles. or should i stop so i dont compromise my immune system more.

Maybe skip a week of shots, it should be gone by then anyway. Valtrex works pretty good on it. It's a well known fact that high androgen's can lower your immune. I had it once to. Mine was very minor, it does hurt like a bitch, worce than regular herpies. You need to be 50 to get the vaccine coverd by insurance, other than that it's 200.00 for the shot.

Update:
So my shingles are gone after 2 weeks, rash and redness is gone, just some discoloration left. But now i have PHN Postherpetic neuralgia ..
Im in pain most of the day and at night and have trouble sleeping. Dr. keeps saying it will go away but he prescribed me 2 vicodines every 6 h.
Haven't been working out for more than 4 weeks, it sucks.
Dr said if pain doesnt go away in 2 weeks hell get me on Lyrica , but im not sure i want that as Lyrica has some pretty bad side effects...

Btw. Lidocaine (lidoderm) patches dont do anything to the pain...

That's because of the drug of choice (doc) is Gabapentin for postherpetic neuralgia, def. not lidocaine.

Im scared to take Gabapentin as i have been on paxil for last 10 years. I heard these two drugs dont mix well together.
