So I tried Nair today.......

Just wanted to share my experience because Im sure others felt something similar their first time:

Got some of it today because I tried shaving my torso and got a bunch of razor bumps from it. It also grew back quickly and never felt smooth. Lastly, it was irritating to my skin to shave sandpaper-like hair.

So I got the nair, caked it on and washed my hands a million times to make sure that I could scratch my eyebrow or something and still have two of them left.

It was really weird to watch the hair fall out in the shower 10 minutes later, but its all really smooth. I was still really paranoid about touching my face and eyebrows until I washed my hands a few more million times. I even walked out of the shower with water in my eyes and just kinda waited for air drying to take over.

I found that the nair didnt get rid of all of the hair but about 99.9% I had to use a blade for smaller hairs around the edges that didnt have enough nair on it.

I was afraid to try nair at first because I had heard of all of the skin irritant stuff, but it seems pretty safe if you dont leave it on for too long or let it dry out.

it woks for some and not for others, it may make you break out in a rash tomorow. you should do a test patch first on your arm or leg and wait 24 hr to see if you get a rash. hair away was one i used when i first stared competing. it didnt work well now i just shave and have lilkoreangirl(my girlfriend) hit my back w the clippers. good luck w the nair, be on the look out for a rash tomorow.

definitly use high doses of moisturizing lotion and you'll avoid this problem

baby oil won't penetrate and with clothes it sucks

Good news, no rash today. I put it on my chest, abs, and forearms and its all good. I called a female friend of mine and she said that if it doesnt turn red and itchy in the first 20 minutes or so, then youre most likely fine. Just dont keep it on too long or it begins to burn.

No Nair For Me!

A while ago, when I got tired of shaving my entire body every week, I tried Nair. I used it exactly as the bottle indicated too.

It removed less than half of the hairs on my body, so I ended up having to shave anyway, but it gave me a disgusting rash that lasted nearly a week. I had to go to the doc and he told me it was a mild chemical burn! Hated Nair!

Just used new nair roll on for men on pits the other day. Worked great. Got a little burn but I leave it on long time cause I hate when these types of solutions only take half the hair off cause its not left on long enough. Veet has worked well for me too. I just wanted to try the roll on.

There's also VEET. You guys can try it out. It's just another razorless hair removing agent. Although you use a plastic hair remover, the concept is similar and has no burnt-skin smell...lkg

YEAH!! That is what I want to try as I am as hairy as a silverback gorilla if I don't shave but I get the worst razorburn for the last couple of years and am so sick of it...

never heard of veet. ill have 2 try it..nair burns me and leaves most of the hair.. my hair is coarse so i use the clippers all over. its a pain in the ass.. have to have the wife do the back or I look like a gorilla, waxing makes me break out, plus i live in a small town, and i think those little girls wouldn't know what to do w me if I went in to get my back waxed, cause it doest end there it goes down my arms and up my kneck ..actually now that i think about it...it goes from my ankles to the top of my head the only place i dont have it is my palms and the last 6 inches, uh, I mean 10 inches of my male anatomy
