It's hard to tell. I recognize Brett Becker but not the other guy. Each has different strengths in those shots. Becker has size and shape while the other has conditioning.

brett got second, the guy on the right won,
in person there was no comparison on detail and brett is way bigger
i think the pictures kind of hide the detail of both of them but brett was actually in better shape.

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the judged placed Brett down b/c of color - he could use 2-3 more coats...

unfortunately I think you are right about the color....it is so hard to tell how dark someone is in a hotel room....we did the jan tana program and thought he would be dark....his girlfriend competed in the figure part of the show and she was very dark...we did more coats on him and still not enough...going to try something different this weekend...
