Sponsor Quality Control

Alot of sponsors are now using the board as a vehicle to sell their products. I personally have had contacts with some who have the highest quality products and customer service standards that are second to none. I have also had dealings with some sponsors whos product is less than satisfactory and whos customer service and communication to put it bluntly , suck. Unfortunately, up to this point there seems to be little or no quality control over who is accepted as a sponsor. I do not in any way wish to disrespect the board or the powers that be but based on some of the negative posts regarding some sponsors, we need to have tighter quality control befoe these sponsors are allowed to peddle their goods which, at the very least may be inferior quality and could possible cause serious health risks. Im not sure what the answer to this problem is but this board has the highest standards as to who can post, the types of posts allowed, etc... so why should it be any different regarding the sponsors. Merely paying money to be a sponsor should not be enough. Maybe we should have some sort of rating system or other method of qulity control. I believe PM is the best board out there and does so much for the sport and to get useful information out to its members. We need to keep PM the best in every way and this is just one more issue that should be kept to the highest standards. Sorry to rant but this is just my 2 cents...

Well I dunno if You are in the states using gear here is illegal, therefore basically everytime You decide(from a board sponsor or otherwise)You take a risk(fake, heath risks etc.)...kinda comes with the territory...anyone that has done this long enough has/will take losses sometime

The only places that there is full sponsor quality control, are vip/invite only forums...when a board is open to the public the sorta thing You are talking about is impossible to keep track of etc.

If You page through the sponsor forum You'll see posts & posts of people complaining from stuff really being late to not getting a response to their email after an hr...anyone who has seen this game long enough knows that with the thousands of people that post here it is IMPOSSIBLE to keep everyone satisfied...trust Me

Members & Guests should be happy that a board like this exists that allows them access to sponsors like We have here

Trust me Guys there are MANY Sources that get turned down.
Id say less then 10% of the suppliers that have tried to get on here have made it.

So to say all they have to do is a "Pay a fee and they can peddle there goods" Is 100% incorrect.
We try to approve only the best.....Most all the sponsors are people one of us know or in most cases have known for a number of years.

If there is someone you think is Sketchy, My advice is stay clear of them.
If you have a personal bad experience and its a legit complaint, report it to us.

This is the black market....not the local Pharmacy.
We cant Hold everyones hand all of the time. At some point you have to be able to take care of things and make decisions on your own.
Dont always point your fingers at the staff or the forum because you had a blotched order.

exactly. On top of that when you have guys competing against eachother for bussiness you run into a Bunch of "rule # 15 Guys" that show up as willy-lump-lump members wanting to complain or bash a guys service.

If we have legitimate complaints from legitimate members we DO look into the problems and try to resolve it asap.

We dont let anyone with a checkbook advertise, thats horseshit and obviously coming from someone that doesnt know what he is talking about.
We call it rite down the middle and treat members and sponsors equal.
More often then not its the long time members that get favored OVER a sponsor.

I have always dealt with any problems, if any, I have had directly with the sponsor and they have always been worked out. Frankly I dont know what to tell you but I apologize if you feel disrespected as this was not my intent. And as I have already said, clearly I dont know what goes in to the approval of sponsors so if I overgeneralised I appoligize, as I realize its probably not as simple as I make it out. Obviouysly my previous post was not sufficient to make clear to you that Im am not pointing any fingers and that I do not know nor have any way of knowing what goes in to approval of a sponsor. Funny thing is before SRCS was Shut down we had a plan to do exactly this... Quality control was a member here approved by us if you run a search.
A Bunch of members were more then willing to kick in money for it.
The Plan was they (Quality control) would order the gear directly under a willy-lump-lump name and then would have it sent in to be tested.

Unfortunately this was Just before RAW DEAL hit and it was never able to happen
as planned.

Thanks for understanding Rajjin. Im just trying to contribute in a positive way I realize the written word is very powerful and although I try to choose my words carefully sometimes it doesnt come out the way it was intended.

raj has already said what needed to be said.. but i will add this.. we deal with issues all the time.. and if evidence is brought forth that a sponsor is underdosing, or just plain not providing good service that sponsor gets a email or pm.. he is then allowed the right to refute or state his side of the story.. more than one sponsor has meant his demise here by not providing good customer service..
now that being said, we all here are meat heads lol.. and there is nothing worse than someone who provides shoddy products in our eyes.. but, we must hear about it first.. i respect you taking care of issues on your own.. but, i really would have liked to hear about them.. this gets the ball rolling and lets us confront these issues quickly.. so if there is a next time, please let us know.. if any of us thought that someone had bunk crap he would be gone.. or at the very least made to replace it to remain on PM..
