Hello, all.....I want to hear from other powerlifters about what they cycle and doses..

no real secrets, a test base, as comp nears add in tren. then add in orals every once in a while.

500-750 test base for me. 12 out i jump to 750 test, 300 tren. its 3 shots a week 1ml test 1 of tren. orals added the last 4-6 weeks.

this time im using tren E at 500mgs and 1000 test E. and Gh at 2iu 5 days a week. halos at 40mgs were added 5 weeks out. if weight wasnt an issue i would do dbol or adrol instead of halos.

so you don't use test e once a week, doing your whole dose at once? why is that? not arguing with you, but i was under the impression that it should or at least could be done that way.

however, you are definitely doing something right, so in your opinion would a 500mg a wk dose be better done as 2 shots a few days apart, or one shot on oone day?

it doesnt really matter. 2 shots will make for more stable blood levels, but i do it cause 2 cc of it hurts and knots up if taken at once, so i mix it to keep it from hurting.
 
I also notice better results by breaking up the doses. Just be careful if your stacking 2 or more compounds that you don't run into a day where you dose 2or more substances that day. For example:

750mg test e/wk
300mg deca/wk

= 3 shots (mix 250 test with 100 deca)

This avoids spiking and the painful "knot" that big_byrd52 mentioned.

How many places can you go where a world record holder will share cycle info with you? Seems like every time you ask a pro BB or top level PL what cycles they like/use they all try to get you to believe they got to where they are on HRT-type doses of test, with maybe some creatine.


Anyway, thanks for the info Big-byrd. You are truly an assett to this board. That type of candid info is why I come to PM and I guarantee it is what will make that gym you are going to open be successful.

I Like to know what the halo's do for ya...Is it something like var?...It seems that your a little concerned about weight gain?....

I'm looking for a different oral to do with my next cycle...d-bol gives me gyno big time...drol makes me a little to grouchy...I tried 6-8 t-bols e/d for 8 weeks and didn't really notice any dramatic gains....

I was thinking of using winstrol tabs this cycle but I seem prone to joint pain these days....I'm 47 and an old power lifter....I just want to take easier on my body these days....
 
i love the strength from halos, but i hate the way i break out when i come off them!. that was the last time... never again!i have scars on my chest form it, and now my back is still broke out from it. i hadnt had a problem at all with backne for 2 years, then all of a sudden!

u dont have to do orals, just do tren and prop. maybe a lil eq.

Also, i noticed i didnt get any stronger on the higher doses either. so its just 750 test right now. i added in some dbol for the last 4 weeks before this meet in NC, then ill drop em out again. ill probably add in some EQ just because of the tissue regeneration i read about in a post on the main board. havent done any in a while and my joints are hurting, so maybe that will help. run that till last 6 weeks before Sr. Nats in june and add some tren and or orals.
 
Oh, and i dont admit to use to people i dont know either... maybe if i can see its obvious they do too, or i after i get to know them better. it is still illegal and i dont want my business known by everyone. but i have even recently had guys obviously yolked to gills still deny they have done anything, or that this is just their first cycle:rolleyes:

Of course not, I think we are all that way. I was more referring to the online thing.

I think it's sad when you ask a pro what they might use and they give you some BS answer. Everyone knows (or should) that steroids don't do the work for you and won't make up for poor diet, bad genetics, etc.; but they will help you meet certain goals if used properly. For example, bulking, cutting or contest prep, and/or strength. Steroids will help you meet these goals, and I believe that was actually the question you answered, "strength cycle."

I was just impressed with your no BS answer and willingness to help others meet their goals by sharing your knowledge.
 
I have been helped along my way too, and i will pass that on to anyone else to help them get where they want to be also. im just as happy to see someone else succeed as if it were me.
 
any strongman or PL see any strength gains with igf?
 
IGF is probably best used for injury rehab. It can also be used in your PCT.

As for cycle info the compounds used, amounts and timing will depend on the individual and his/her goals. If the goal is to increase lean bodyweight then primarily anabolic compounds should be used. There is no point in gaining 20lbs of fat and bloat just to say you are 20lbs heavier. If it's close to a contest then more androgens should be used. Your current weight vs. contest weight needs to be considered also. If you are 10lbs over your contest weight or more you sure as hell don't need anything that is gonna make you gain weight. You can see that there are many things to consider when planning a cycle.

My cycle which I'm starting this week end,...goes like this....

1-12 test c 500- 750 ...we'll see./lower for longer.....
1-10 fina 200 -300...Long time since I used it...
1-12 var....30-40...somewhere in there ..eating will be an issue with var....
extend it out with sus and deca...then clomid 4-weeks

I don't think I want to run Halo's...I'm 47 and the sides are hard on me now...
 
i agree, i dont like the halo. i break out on my back bad after i stop it. wont touch it again.
 
why the addition of tren close to competition?

1. I realize gain in strength, why not use throughout an up towards the comp? sides effects too much if used throughout?
 
it can be used longer, i just dont like sticking myself so much and it cuts down my sex drive.

just wondering...if sides weren't an issue, and making weight for comp wasn't either, for pure strength gains did you find Halo to be better than Abombs or Dbol? of the three how would you rank them for pure strength gains?

btw bro, your input on this board--as well as the other elite bb's, strongmen and pl's--is incredible. Even though I just joined it this year I have been reading it for several months.
 
i would say its like abombs without the weight gain
