I currently have "golfer's elbow", which is the inside forearm near the elbow, as opposed to the outside as in "tennis elbow". I did it while doing very heavy back rows back in November. I went to the ortho that did my ACL surgery, and after he x-rayed it to make sure I hadn't pulled off a small piece of bone off (I hadn't), he then told me I had a partial tear and the only way for it to improve was to give it time. He told me to ice it down and take anti-inflammatories if I want to work it, but he told me it will just delay healing if I try to work through it. So I bit the bullet and stopped ALL upper body training for the last two months. I was doing legs three times a week instead, and I have to say my legs are now in awesome shape, but my upper body looks shitty, with my arms suffering the most. Last week I started easing into upper body workouts == chest, triceps, and shoulders are fine, but I have to be ginger with back exercises (certain hand positions on the rows aggravate my forearm). The biceps are the hardest to train, so per my doc I am using the lightest weight possible, and if there is no real pain after the workout, I bump up the weight for next time. But it is a slow process, and I suggest just taking time off now, rather than trying to get through it for months and then having to take the time off anyway. Best of luck to you.
