today i contacted phil about more lba. i do lke them and what they do. half hour later im on the phone with him. some people tear him up for different reasons ....well heres the phil i know.
he spent some time on the phone with me talking and most importantly listening about some of my personal issues as of late. he did not have to do this. he took time out to listen and actulay when we hung up i felt a lot better about some of the things he said.
so i just wanted to say thanks phil. i appreciate you taking the time out of your day.
funny i always looked up to phil the bodybuilder since the early mid 90s , now 2007 i look u to phil the human beeing.

Good post lucian. I think many people misunderstand Phil. He cares about us and our general health and well being. he is passionate about our sport and he believes in the products he sells. He is a jokester and likes a good laugh like anyone else. he is also a straight shooter. Get in his shit and you can be assured he will be all up in yours also. His knowledge about training and nutrition were years ahead of everyone else when he was comp'ing and it still is today. yes he is a human being, he has feeling like the rest of us. Does he take all this shit to heart, thankfully NO. Phil is one of this boards standup members and a real assett here at Pro Muscle. Good work PHIL, Please keep it up!

He'll be real good friends with anyone but if youre a bullshitter. He'll sniff that out and call you on it. Im good with Phil and I know he'd call me out in a heart beat If I flew any shit past him. That's what's great about Phil- he has a wealth of knowledge, from experience, not "book" knowledge, and wants to help anyone who is willing to listen. You have to read his posts carefully as he is not verbose and has a good touch of sarcasim.

BUT he is not always "politically correct" which I totally respect because neither am I. Pro M is very lucky to have him as a contributing member. </asskissing off>

I started working with Phil in February 07 and mostly emailed him and he is always VERY quick to respond which is probably why I never call. I know he is busy and I never need an answer right away and don't feel like taking up his time. BUT when I did call him he always answered my questions, no matter how obvious the answeres were

I have spoken to the big guy several times and he is a gentleman. Everytime he picks up the phone and Im like "can I speak to that asshole Phil" or "Is this the guy with the little dick?" I only talk to Phil through posts on this board, but from what I see here he is a stand up, straight shootin guy that's helped me out way more times then anything I offer him. He's good shit for sure and he treats everyone the same which is always respectable. I agree with Lucian, I looked up to him as a BBer in the 90's when I was a teen and it's a blessing to have a guy with his knowledge and character on this board. Cheers!!!
