The Arnold Classic '24 Mega thread

not completely - when Fuad or Guy were competing, they also looked fresh - after so many years when you were on huge doses of hormones, your body accepted this state and started to consider it normal, adapting to it - then suddenly you stop huge doses of hormones and GH and your body starts get old quickly - that's my theory
i'm not talking about when they competed i am talking about now and its very noticeable. and your body never accepts and considers it normal, lmao.

I don't understand you 😃 you wrote that Olympians on stage don't look tired and older than they actually are and then you mention the example of guys who finished their careers so I referred to it

It's the beards bro lol

True

But at the same time, these people on the board are at least asking the questions

Fouad was so sure of himself in his wrongful thinking… for years.. and is now paying the price

Had he bothered to bounce his ridiculous idea off someone like Hany or Chad, he most likely would have been set straight
Yes his theory was very stupid. That being said the fact that both those top coaches never talked to him about BP and how they could manage it were it to become an issue is also mind boggling from an oversight of top coaches stand point.

Yeah I doubt Chad was pushing BP drugs on his athletes, or else they would have done it of course.

Reminds me of the show where Ronnie told Chad he felt he was dying and wanted to go to hospital and Chad said, "don't do that." That's how Ronnie told it. Said he drank a gallon of water and went on to win the show.

I might be delusional saying this but I've felt that AAS have kept me more healthy youthful then I would be without them. I feel like the body does adapt to the hormones and they become less toxic. In the past with heavy drug use over my teens and into my 30s, my body adapted to it and I never had bad health. I just hit 40 so I was a lot younger then and better with recovery but still I think there's something to say about adaptation to chemicals.

But I think there definitely is the genetic component, some people can handle more then others.

Just anecdotally speaking I agree.

Responsible use gives me more energy to live the lifestyle.

I still do cardio daily and train hard, I don't think I'd be doing that without my sports TRT.

Ironically the year I finally did drop down to TRT and began to downsize is actually the year I suffered a couple of long term injuries which are still with me today. Take from that what you will.

I don't necessarily agree with the adaptation aspect, however these drugs are building hormones. They are not destructive agents like cocaine. They absolutely do provide energy and vitality which can be channeled into greater health.

I think it’s important to remember that “coaches” are not “medical doctors”. Milos used to stay away from that side as he’s a coach and not an MD.

Then you have guys like Berry who want to be all in with that stuff. But at the end of the day it’s on us as the athletes to monitor our health.

I have a full team of medical specialist outside of my coach. As should all competitors IMO.

Just saw a clip Hollingshead posted that was filmed some days before the show, he looked freakin insane! he was def flat at the show.

Hollingsheads structure gets exposed on stage. Shoulder width is not the best.
Yea I feel like he's about done, I love James but I don't see many years to come at his current level. Unless he just pushed the conditioning too hard, but his body looks tired for some reason

If he loves competing, I don’t see why he’d stop. He just brought his best look yet.

He’ll never be Mr. O, but neither will 99.99% of bodybuilders

He also wants to do other things in life so even if he hangs up competing he'll still bodybuild... But I give him 2 years and he'll retire. I wonder what he could have done better with his prep to have brought an even better look. He was w Milo's and he was hammering weights days prior with branch.
