Notice a person that shakes when they lower the bar in the bench,weak lats is the problem.
Triceps,rear-delts -lats,are areas where people can increase the bench
If a shirt is used the pecs come last in importance .
I was always strong in the bench press i competed in powerlifting from 1986 @17 to 2000 .
I think it has been at least 8 years since i have done a barbell flat bench ,mostly use the incline for growth.
