I love doing this once in awhile. I just finished trying a routine where I trained everything eod. Everything got trained 3 times a week. It was very beneficial to the mind muscle connection. I made visible improvements to some lagging areas. Overall it’s very beneficial.
Another way I like to train when I’m not going to grow is do a few sets of say chest the day after you just trained it. It’s suppose to help recovery but I find again the mind muscle connection is awesome

I did that for a bit myself and it does feel good. THey used to call those "feeder sets". Doing relatively high reps with a lower weight, 20 reps or more. The idea is you are pumping in lots of blood to flush out waste products and bring in nutrients. I know it didn't make me any more fatigued, and if anything it really might have aided recovery. No more than 1 or 2 sets.
