Trouble sleeping

Almost every night i have issues getting a full nights sleep without having to constantly wake up because my shoulder and arm have fallen asleep... This usually happens to me when im training really heavy, but recently is happens more frequently.. Considering now im dieting and not lifting the heavy weights i use in the off season dieting...

I've tried putting my arms in various positions, but they seem to fall asleep (pins and needles) anyway.. I cannot sleep on my stomach or back... Only way i fall asleep is lying on my side... Do i have a circulation issue?? Is there something i can take?? I haven't spoken to my Dr. yet to get his opinion...

The same thing happens to me as well. I don't know what causes it. Maybe just having so much muscle mass.....don't know.

I have the same problem, but I learned to lay on my back, It helps a little.
 
I think heavy wide shouldered guys have this problem from the pressure when laying on it. The same happened to me. When I switched to a good memory foam mattress (Tempur-Pedic), it helped me a lot in getting the pressure off my shoulders and arms when on my side.
 
You could try a chiro. You may have a pinched nerve or something. Or you could just get drunk as hell and pass out!:eek:
 
This has never happened to me once, and I'm a very restless sleeper.
 
this happens to me, and it kind of freaks me out when I wake up and cant uncurl my fingers, like I have no feeling down my arm for about 5-10 seconds:eek:

I notice it happens more on cycle then off cycle.
 
Happens to me after heavy gains especially the night after an arms day even on my back

My guess is growing mass faster than your body is used to or faster than the other parts of your body can respond to

could even just be the pump if you get it worst on training days like me

but like i said its just a gues no MD here :)
 
This use to happen to me as well. I rode bulls professionally for 8 years and totally destroyed both of my shoulders. I had one of them totally rebuilt but they still fell asleap and really hurt. I started sleeping with a really thick pillow but i would basically cuddle with it. I hold it while i sleep like i am snuggling with my wife. It keeps my arms out away from my body and my shoulders havnt fallen asleap since i started doing this 4 years ago. And now i can toss and turn from side to side and i always keep the pillow against me and under my up arm WOrks great.,
 
I take melatonin every night and this is the best I have slept in 20 yrs. I started at 3mgs and worked up to 5mgs. Zero grogginess in the morning. Completely refreshed.

Were do you get your melatonin GNC? just curious i want to try it with valerian root during this cycle but have not seen melatonin anywere
 
Melatonin, ZMA and BCAA combo taken before bed puts me out for the count.
 
I also have the same problem and this past week I asked my doctor what causes it and he said my muscles are growing too fast and putting pressure on the nervers in my delts and biceps and the cure is too stop lifting!!!! Hope this helps
