trt - patch vs gel?

After seeing a doc, and getting tested (very low T) my doc wants to try TRT. He left a voicemail and mentioned the patch and the gel as options.

Obviousley i would eventually like to switch over to the INJ, but im just happy to be getting some kind of HRT b/c my test level is 90, and i dont want to push the envelope just yet and him think i want legal AAS which im sure dome docs fear.

Anyone know if the gel or patch are more effective, convenient? etc?

THe one positive i can think of for the gel, if will be easier to switch from gel to injectable, because I can tell him it irritates my skin (down the road though, just happy to be getting some kind of HRT in the meantime).

Any thoughts from you guys that have used or have researched these two methods of TRT?

Ive had both and didnt really care for either but out of the two the patch seemed to work better but i would recomend asking for the injections thats what i had to do the gel and patches cost alot more than the shots and inurance covers my inj. but wouldnt cover the other and as far as being worried about him thinking you are looking for legal aas dont worry hes only gonna perscribe enough to get you test in a normal range 200ml or less a week

Just ask for inj. Tell him Doc I know me and remembering patch changes or applying gel will be way to much hassle as I am really busy everyday but 1shot per week is doable.
He is doing nothing wrong(illegal or morally) so should not be a problem.
