i agree with courture and joe rogan.. none is going to beat silva. he was playing with cote for the two rounds.. he could have done a rich franklin on a few times but, did not.. cote knew he could not beat silva but, was happy to just get to the third round.. cote does have a hell of a chin though..

Silva is incredible. For those who do train in the mixed martial arts, they can REALLY appreciate the stuff Silva does. His angles are awesome. His footwork and body movement are poetic. The man is seriously gifted and extremely talented. Too bad the fight ended the way it did, though. I feel for Cote, even though he wasn't doing much the entire fight. At the same time though he didn't seem to be in any SERIOUS danger yet at that point. Hopefully we'll see a rematch and I am thinking Silva will easily take it. His striking is on a whole different level.

I would love to see George St. Pierre go up in weight and fight Silva. Dont know if St.Pierre could beat him, but it would be one hell of a fight I'm sure. I'm also hoping Couture finds a way to whip Lesnar on Nov 15th. Couture knows how to beat big guys, but he usually weighs in at about 220lbs...Lesnar weighs in at 265, but then blows up to about 280 for fight night. Couture is a master of his craft, but Lesnar definitely has size, strength, and youth on his side...

Thats Lesnar at 280? I think he kind of looks flat and "small" when he fights compared to college/pro wrestling, how big was he back then? I would like to eventually see Lesnar/Carwin, battle of the giants.

Look at Lesnar's last fight vs Heath Herring. Herring weighed in at 250 and was the same the night of the fight. You can see quite a difference in size between the two when they are in the ring.

Silva might one of the most gifted athletes in this sport IMO muay thai wise

the guy just HAS it with his knees / elbows / fist / chins

and seems to remain pretty calm during his fights

DANA WHITE HAD A INTERVIEW ABOUT THE FIGHT.. and he is pretty pissed.. he said silva , even though cote is a good fighter, could have put him out as early as the 1st round but, just danced and goofed around.. he said you could hear silva's corner yelling to take "him out already.." he said he did not know why silva was goofing around but promised he would not do it again..

I didn't see the fight, but Silva could of been respecting Cote's punching power. I can't imagine any fighter playing with another at his level...

Silva can be beat, he has by lesser fighters in Pride. It's going to take someone with an INCREDIBLE chin that is great at bjj. Not many around now in his weight class. Maybe if Rich went back and worked on take downs more instead of trying to stand with him it might of been differant. Who knows, Silva might be champ for years to come...
