Anyone that has had this done have any idea how much this costs? I have insurance, but I'm assuming I would have to hit my deductible first and then insurance would kick in for the surgery. My deductible is $2500, so thinking of taking out an FSA in my benefits next year of $2500 to cover that but then my insurance would cover 80%, so trying to figure out what I'm looking at in costs.

I had the same surgery in February. I only had to pay my deductible, my insurance covered the rest.

I blew mine partly out again too, about 6 months later. Don't believe them when they say it will be stronger than the rest of your abdominal wall. It will always be a weak spot. Mine was patched too.

Don’t bother getting it repaired unless you have to or it’s “unsightly”. You will most likely just re-herniate and spend thousands of dollars for no reason. Many, many people live with hernias with no consequence for the rest of their life. Have had 2 re-herniate myself - never again.

This is not safe. Hernia's can kill you . I know its probably rare but who wants to be that fuck that dies from not getting a simple surgery. When the dr noticed I work out he double meshed it.

I started slowly working out about 3 weeks later and the only exercise I felt it was when I was benching. I found that interesting.

Pain wise id give it a 3/10. After 7-10 days 1/10. I had little issues. Other dudes seem like their got their dicks cut off. Varies person to person.

My whole Abdominal wall locked up for over a week. I could not even clear my throat. Full recovery took 16weeks.
I believe the more Abb muscle you have the Worse the Pain!
Small, soft muscles equal less contraction.

I have thick abs so I really hope this isn't the case for me!

I’m 10 days out from mine. I paid about $2k out of pocket.
Pain was only really bad when I tried to sleep for the first 3 or 4 days.
I think they messed mine up because my belly button sticks out more now than it did before.

My abs locked up too. My wife commented about how great my abs looked on morning. It was because my whole abdominal wall was pretty much cramped for 3 days.
