any of you guys try doing cardio with weights? like instead of walking or whatever take some 5lbs weights and do some squats or clean and press or shadow boxin just to get your heart rate up. i seems like it would give some nice varity and might be pretty effective if move back and forth from upper then lower body stuff to move your blood around instead of just walking. if you use weights low enough it probably wouldn't interfer with recovery ethier..

what do you guys think? i'm talking short sessions 15 mins or so, maybe warm up with jumping jacks or something for 30 secs then go straight into a routine with no rest between movements.
 
deadlift cardio....

take a like weight like 135, and just rep the fuck out of it. over and over....

also power cleans for however many you can do in a certain time
 
Swimming is a better option. You'll get blood flowing throughout all of your major muscle groups AND the thermal load of the water (water is 24 times more thermally conductive than air, which means it dissipates heat much more easily) will cause you to burn many more calories in a shorter period of time. The thermal load of water is why Michael Phelps ate 12,000 calories a day.
 
I carry 2 25 plates on a very inclined treadmil for about 10 minutes
 
I'm looking into buying a weighted vest for up hill sprints. Incredible workout.
 
Kettlebell snatches burn 400 calories in 20 mins.
 
i just decrease my rest time between sets when trying to cut up, then throw in 25 min cardio. overall gives you about an hour or so with your heartrate accelerated.

This, wal-mart has a gold's gym vest that's about 12lbs, doesn't seem like much, but trust me when i say it works. ;)
