If Victor ever gets back to his 2007 look, I would have to wonder what the fuck took him so long
Yeah, Vic did look good.
One thing I noticed...and which makes is abundantly clear how shitty some of these guys are as posers...is when I watched Alkim's routine. What you see below is exactly how it went...pose for pose.
He walks out and starts off by hitting a hands over head shot, Sergio style. He then moves to...
Front double biceps
Front lat
Front double biceps
Front lat
Side chest
Front double biceps
Front lat
Front double biceps
Front double biceps with one arm extended
front double biceps with the other arm extended
WTF already?
After that he turns around and does...
Back double biceps
Rear lat
That's it for the rear shots. After he turns around back to the front we are treated to...
Most muscular
Most muscular
Most muscular
Most muscular
Most muscular
Most muscular
Front double biceps
...and he then walks off the stage.
Hmm???? Is that seriously how a "professional" bodybuilder chooses to present his physique? All I can say is WTF?
He plays with his strengths. He is so dark that it actually effects his look in a negative way aswell. But Akim has a great physique and it's very appealing and a tiny waste. And just sheer size. It's very impressive. He thinks he can just out muscle everyone. When he learns to pose and starts to come in dry and shredded he will start doing damage. It reminds me of Roelly when he wasn't flexible enough to do a side triceps properly
See bold above: Agreed. I'm just don't think he ever will master the art of posing. The bodybuilding landscape is littered with examples of bodybuilders who had great a physique, but never learned to display it to their best advantage. Paul Dillet is on such example.
Had Paul learned how to present his physique properly, he could have placed much higher than he did, but his complete lack of professionalism on the bodybuilding stage not only cost him titles...it also tainted his potential status as one of the all-time greats. There is no denying that Paul, when at his best, possessed one of the best physiques (particularly from the front) that the sport has ever seen, but his inability to present his physique to its best advantage cost him a place among this elite group of professionals.
Although Paul is an extreme example, the level of competence seen in professional bodybuilding today (in terms of posing) is by FAR the worst it has ever been, with the vast majority of pros demonstrating amateur posing skills at best. This shouldn't be happening on a pro stage, yet we see it all the time and it is damaging bodybuilding. People talk about the loss of the classic physique in today's ranks, but one of the major contributing factors is the inability of today's bodybuilders to effectively duplicate classic poses. They simply lack the skill and flexibility to pull it of. If more of today's pros were master posers we wouldn't be seeing anywhere near as many complaints as we do now. There are a lot of guys out there who could and should look far better than they do, but they are missing out on showing the world how good their physiques could really be...for no other reason than lack of posing ability.

You think when your life is centered around displaying your body you'd figure it out. I was lucky to have see dillet compete and it was always so awkward. When he posed it looked like someone mimicking bodybuilding poses. He always exemplified lazynes. He guest posed at a show I was at and he talked to himself a lot, just kinda an odd guy. When you do nothing all day but eat sleep and train how hard is it to throw in a yoga class or some sort of posing practice. Not everyone has to be a Kai but at least be able to hit the mandatories. I remember Nasser hitting 12 crab shots in a row to ac/dc as his Olympia routine.

Does anyone know howold Victor is now?
Man him and dexter are inspiring. Im 41 now, I need to go back to the drawing board but the age thing is worrying me, but hell if they are making gains still at their level, no reason I cannot continue as well.
