I know a lot of you drive foreign cars so I was hoping someone could give me some feedback on after market rims that look good but also don't negatively effect the ride of the car. I bought 20'' Lorenzo's and just took them back because they were shit. Any suggestions???

i say stay stock. m5 rims always look great. if ur looking to go big the try the 760li 20inch rims

I work at a aftermarket wheelshop. I can tell you there are alot of good manufacturers and some shitty ones. Your basic always good to go companies are TIS and dropstars. Any of thier rims will do fine for a BMW. MOZ and forte also make excellent rims. DUB makes well made wheels as well. Lowenharts are good but they are best suited for bigger SUV's in my opinon. Asanti's are good as are thier sister brand Lexani. They are really wild with thier designs but all work well on 20 inch wheels with low profile.

It really comes down to your prefernce of style. For a BMW nothing is hotter to me and TIS model 07. ( just my opinon after putting them on countless 650ci's and chrysler 300's). You have to remember when you put higher than 19inch wheel son a smaller compact car your going to experience a rougher ride with lower profile tires. Just the way it is. I have a hummer with 28's and while not bad its not a smooth as the stock wheels or even 24's. Style does not equal comfot all the time with aftermarket wheels.

Im with you on this, I like the stock rims on BMW's better.

Ya, buy a 7 series;)

I've always liked BBS for Beamers! They seem to fit the look and profile of the car!

Dude, you should be asking Scott this question. That guy has had so many different rides and wheel combos. He knows for sure.

well , if it was me , i would go with a nice light wheel .also the wheels can either make , or break the profile(look) of the ride. that is why i wanna tell you.....take a look at O.Zracing....you will have a smile on your face from ear to ear.good luck

...look it here,

..here are the three types of wheel's they make in every color , style . and then they have the all out race wheel(very expensive) ,butyou would'nt put on a 5.

the problem with a lot of wheels that are 19"+, you really want to buy a quality 3pc wheel, these big 1 pc wheels are p.o.s's, and the first small pothole you hit or anything you can bend the wheel, thats my only problem against OZ, they are mostly 1 pc wheels.

well , piece of shit they are not . also most of the line up are 3 piece.here is the thing,we are talkin about a 5 series, a 3 piece race wheel on a 5 series is kinda WACK.....your right about the potholes though.

I can testify to this! I had some 19 inchers that were one piece on my Audi and after driving on them for 8 days every single one was bent so bad that the speed shop couldnt balance them within specs. I went down to 17 inch BBS rims and they have been great. I had AT Italias at first, those must be junk. You cant skimp on rims if youre going low profile.

Thought I chime in here since I have owned more sets of wheels on more cars than most. Im a wheel/tire nut!

My fav bmw wheels are: breyton, ac schnitzer, bbs, hamann, hartge, and below

My my fav multi-piece wheels are: i-forged, hre, & swiss (pronounced "and swiss"), gfg, ccw (makes an awesome multi-piece mesh wheel), asanti wheels are OK, ect...

My best advice is to find a bimmer forum you like and research offsets and the different styles. Then search the classifieds and post a wanted thread. Ive found many of my best wheel/tire deals that way!

IMHO go with a staggered deep dish spoke or mesh design. Those are my favs on the 5 series. Is it an older model or the new gen? Multipiece is nice but there are some great one piece wheels too if your on a tighter budget. I can offer more assistance if you want to PM me. Hope this helps.

My brother has a 07 model, it has awesome alloys. I will ask him when he comes in to train later.

Hamann, TIS, or Lexani. get that offset though. looks way better.
