I have tried this. Just be careful. You want to make sure your insulin is structured around your food. If you structure your food around your insulin you can accumulate visceral fat quite fast.
Speaking from experience of course.
I split my dosages or use more insulin on days I train weak body parts. I'll eat an access of carbohydrates and lower fat intake.
I don't use large amounts on normal days and have at least two days of low carbs for insulin sensitivity. It has had no impact on my blood sugar at all. Just be sure to test regularly, and try to pinpoint the best dosage in terms of what goal your trying to accomplish.
