I see many companies offering Peptides (BPC-157, Sermorelin, IGF-1 LR3, etc) then I see companies offering Recombinant Human IGF-1 LR3 that are E. coli-derived human IFG-1/IGF-1 protein. Not sure I understand the differences. I would appreciate any guidance for information. I have tried for a few days Google, searching forums, etc to no avail.

Thank you in advance,
Chris

the two general ways to manufacture proteins is through "de novo" chemical synthesis, or with recombinant protein expression. Recombinant tech is preferable for longer, more complex amino acid sequences (IGF1 or HGH) as you can better replicate the post-translational modifications that occur in the human body. Creating a more biologically identical molecule. Ideally though you'd use a eukaryotic expression system--say chinese hamster ovary cells. Prokaryotic systems like e.coli are pretty limited in their ability, albeit much cheaper. I assume most BPC157 is chemically synthesized, and most IGF1/HGH is recombinantly expressed, regardless of labels.

Thank You 😘 for the insight.
