WHOLE FOODS in Scottsdale

Located on Scottsdale Road and Mayo Blvd(Just south of the 101).

Holy Crap, this place put me in sensory overload. I stopped by to pick up some steak, thinking it was the same thing as the W.F. that backs up to Golds and ended up staying for an hour. The Butcher's area is easily 50 feet long with a wide range in selection of buffalo meat, veal,organic beef etc.,which is right next to entire BBQ meats section. I'm not too keen on the hippie theme of having organic clothes etc, but their selection in meats is markedly better than even AJ's. I think its the best grocery store in the valley. If you haven't been, check it out.

I have 2 of them within 15 min of me. I like the spinach/feta lamb patties. I get the hot turkey sausage also. I can spend an hour easy. I get my distilled water there $89 gallon. I get all my frozen organic fruit from there and they have a whole row of mixed nuts by the lb you can make up yourself bags of whatever you want.

Same thing happened to me. They just opened one recently on Ray and Price. I swear I came in my pants, many times. I was so overwhelmed, I have never seen a grocery store like this before. They have everything you could ever imagine, a huge fresh fish counter, 6 fresh fish soups(i.e. manhattan clam chowder, crab soup, etc..), fresh sushi bar, fresh chinese and thai foods, every kind of meat imaginable(buffalo, veal, lamb, grass fed beef, etc..), fresh stews(lamb, beef, etc..), soup bar, salad bar, fresh food bars, etc.. Its a little on the expensive side, but for someone who likes to eat and eat healthy, it is heaven.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only meathead who feels like they've died and gone to heaven when they walk in there.

I love to get their blue cheese hamburger patties coconut crusted turkey breasts and make them on the grille. I'm getting hungry and I haven't even trained yet today.

I also only counted 10 fat people in there for the entire hour and a half I spent there this past Sunday, which is considerably less than the 16 fat people I counted in the 15 minutes I was at Safeway last night. People that go in there are obviously a lot more healthy minded.

the steaks are unbelievable if you can afford them but still cheaper than a good steak house.

That place is sick! I like going in there for a treat every now and then and its really close to my house. That store reminds me of the ones they have in Vegas and San Diego.

Hit the Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Fresh Market, and Costco every Sunday. When I go out of town and don't get back until Monday, not going to these stores pays for my whole weekend vacation! Money Suckers but I love them.LOL

We have them here as well as Fresh Market which has a HUGE variety of nuts and they grind most of them into butters...Which is awesome while dieting as I can eat a variety of things for my healthy fats and not just drink Udo's oil all the time..
