Would appreciate insight from the knowledgeable guys here.
I am 54 years old and take prescribed hormone replacement therapy (depo-testosterone, HCG, anastrozole) along with DHEA, vits, mins, and have regular blood tests to monitor hormone levels.
In May 2013, without any growth hormone therapy, my regular testing at Quest Labs showed IgF-1 of 136 (Ref Range 50 - 317 ng/mL) and IgFBP-3 of 3.2 (Ref Range 3.4 - 6.9 mg/L).
Since those results indicate that my GH level is well below optimal, I decided to try to improve things with Ipamorelin and Mod GRF 1-29 (CJC-1295 w/o DAC). I subq injected 100 mcg of each twice per day (total 200 mcg per day of each) for the 7 days before my recent blood test.
My recent test results were IgF-1 of 119 and IgFBP-3 of 3.6 (same Quest Lab, Ref Ranges, diet, exercise, and other hormone replacement).
Any thoughts on why IgF-1 is lower and what would help?
