WMS and Low Carb Dieting

Can anyone tell me if you can use Waxy Maize starch whilst on a low carb diet??What I mean is,let's say you were doing a low carb diet,let's say 50g/day(just hypothetically speaking),and lets say you need to stick to 50gr/day or you wont lose any bf,as that is your limit(any more carbs will cease bf losses,again hypo. speaking),and if you were to get 50g from regular carb,would using a particular amount of wms cause you to be over the maximum 50g??

I know that it is sugar free and it gets digested 80% quicker than other carb sources,but I'm not sure if you would be able to use it on top of your regular amount of carbs and still not be over your limit.In other words,does it need to be added in your daily carb intake??

yes you add it to your daily carb intake. Its a dense carb source.
 
Also,if you were waiting for about twenty minutes to have any nutrients(as TP4U has suggested in another thread about Metabolism and cardio workouts),if you were to have wms before the twenty minutes was up,would that interfere with your fat burning efforts??
 
Here is my take on making it overcomplicated. Our bodies are the most intelligent adaptive machines on the planet. All of this scientific talk of windows of oppurtunity and 10 minutes here and 30 minutes there is not needed. Waxy maize is a carb source. if you are on a low carb diet then it must be calculated into your totals. One of the best times to use WM is post workout. Use aprox 60gms. As long as you do PWO nutrition after your training as soon as is practical then you will be fine. As for pre workout well minimum would be 30 minutes, to allow for digestion. One hour would probably be better. But again, do not complicate things as your body will regulate and compensate for your diet. Keep it simple.

sugar or no sugar a carb is still a carb. If you following a diet where you want to restrict you carbs and keep track of your daily totals then you add it to your daily carbs for the day.

Well it depends on what kind of cardio your performing.... slow steady state i woulnt have WMS. HIIT you could have your WMS.... but the whole timed idea of 20 minutes i dont know. I would do your cardio and then go home and have your meal/shake and youll be fine.

Alin,so if I am going really low carbs(like between 50 -100g/day),do you think I should avoid using it??

NO i wouldnt. WMS will kep you muscles full while dieting. Use about 60 grams grams PWO and then you can have your remaining carbs for the rest of the day to fit within your macros.
 
I eat about 30g of carbs a day, if that. (not including PWO)
I will be using WMS post workout, and that's it, replacing dextrose.
