Both teams are very solid. Both line ups are potent as well and the starting pitching is for the most part solid all around. It's going to come down to middle relievers and the closers. I say that the Yankees win in 7 games because I believe that the Yankees have better middle relievers and a lights out closer in Mariano Rivera. His cut fastball is the most unique and difficult pitch to hit.

It doesn't look good for the Yankees right now. Cliff Lee's thrown a nearly flawless game so far and it looks like the Phils are gonna put up more runs. Game 1 IMO, goes to the Phils.

the Phighting Phillies take game 1 6 to 1. Lee with flawless pitching. 2 big at bats for Utley. the Yankees bullpenn decimated. IF the phillies win game 2 in NY philly will win in 5. Dont count out the Yankees yet, they are a serious ball club to be reconed with. GO PHILLIES!


Much respect to the yankees though, they do have a great ball team and are a serious threat, and should be treated as such.

Lee's pitching was incredible, he owned that game other than Utley's 2 bombs! Did you see the infield fly that Lee just nonchalantly stuck his glove out for? Or even better, the behind the back grounder he snagged? Jeesh. The man was in the zone. And 10 k's, no walks damn!
