ZMA vs. Melatonin

may want to consider what im saying about quality on issues like this.

of very good quality melatonin I get no side effects, like being groggy, quite the opposite I wake up well rested and refreshed.

even 1mg of Xanax most wont be too groggy with. find it hard to believe that 1mg hits you so hard. if it is then you may want to consider weather or not that may indicate some further issue...

Melitonin is one of the few things I've taken that a larger dose isn't needed....but it's also rare I get more than 6 hours of sleep. I've read that it may not clear in time if not sleeping 8. Opinion?
 
ZMA is pricey, but it contains highly absorbable forms of zinc and magnesium.

Be careful if you buy zinc and magnesium on their own, as most of the cheap supplements contain zinc oxide and magnesium oxide... neither of which are very absorbable. You need the more expensive chelated forms.

this is the problem when just buying the ingredients to make your own! what ingredients exactly is needed to do that? does it work out much cheaper?
 
Well I do my own homebrew zma and it works the same for me as a overpriced bottle I bought. So I guess Yeah IMHO it's worth it but everyone has their own opinion about things

Didn't read the first page - but there is a trick to melatonin. 3-9mg, and you HAVE to lay down within 15min of taking it.

There's new mixes out now, with melatonin, gaba, theanine, etc. I prefer to homebrew.
