I've been doing a great deal of reading about DNP lately, and have familiarized myself with the good, the bad, and the ugly. However, there is one bit of knowledge that is missing for me despite pouring over journal papers:
Is DNP safe to take with lithium carbonate? Has anyone had any experiences?
I take 1200mg lithium carbonate ED for Bipolar II. I know that lithium interferes with the sodium-potassium pump, but I do not know enough about cell biology to hypothesize whether this could be involved in DNPs mechanism of action.
Needless to say, given the danger presented by DNP, if I can't learn more I'd either just not cut with DNP, or take a temporary hiatus from lithium use. Thankfully depression and not mania is by far the primary symptom of my BP, so a short break is not a big issue. Nevertheless, any insight would be appreciated!
