So in the light of recent events in the bb world. I was looking in cardiac testing etc. I have spoken to Nothuman about it to get his opinion and we chatted about them. Also I saw Elvia post some stuff about testing / LDL particle size as he was querying about getting some tests done so i thought i will post it here anyway and we can get some feedback from GotGame and other experts..
THIS IS ALL WE HAVE IN THE UK. from the best lab. these sort of labs are rare in UK. we got may 2-3. this is the most famous and recognized. many of the uk pros use this lab.
Elvia fyi mate i think the 89 quid one looks good to me. We both should get this done. Nothuman thinks this LP-PLA2 in the PLAC Test is actually better then what the get in america. Nothuman I command you to explain

Cardiac Enzymes
for 69 pounds
About this test
Cardiac enzymes are chemicals that are found naturally in the blood and include creatine kinase (CK), aspartate aminotranferase (AST) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH).
Cardiac enzymes enzymes rise and peak at differing times after heart muscle injury and the elevations can remain peaked for several days.
Cardiac enzymes are released when the heart muscle is damaged, such as during a heart attack (myocardial infarction)and results in an elevated enzyme level.
There are a number of other cardiac related causes for elevated cardiac enzymes such as cardiac contusion, pericarditis and cardiac surgery. In these conditions, cardiac muscle is injured by a variety of causes including trauma and surgery which then cause a release of enzymes.

PLAC Test
(LP-PLA2) for 89 pounds
PLAC Test (LP-PLA2)
About this test
Most people who have heart attacks or strokes have no warning signals so it is important to assess your risk factors by as many means possible. While testing for cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood can identify some risk factors, it is certainly the case that many people who have "normal" levels of cholesterol go on to suffer a heart attack or stroke. By testing for enzyme Lp-PLA2 you can build a better picture of whether there is plaque build-up on your arteries which raises your risk of a cardiovascular event.
A raised PLAC test result calls for more aggressive preventative treatment and may encourage individuals to stick to recommended lifestyle changes.
Who is this test for?
This test is for individuals who have a higher risk of heart disease due to having two or more of the following risk factors:
Family history of cardiovascular disease
Diabetes
Obesity
Metabolic Syndrome
Kidney Disease
Smoking
High Cholesterol
On lipid lowering treatment e.g. statins
High blood pressure
Diet high in sugar and refined carbohydrates
Sedentary lifestyle

Heart Disease
Risk Check Plus ( 299 pounds too fucking expensive buts the big daddy test so)
Heart Disease Risk Check Plus
About this test
Everybody has a different level of risk of developing heart disease. This is based on your general health, lifestyle and if you have a family history of the disease. This check looks at important risk factors factors that may lead to heart disease in the future. It measures your cholesterol, specifically, your ratio of HDL (good) cholesterol to LDL (bad) cholesterol. A high ratio (above 20%) is protective against heart disease.
Triglycerides are a measure of the actual fat in your blood and High Sensitivity C Reactive Protein is a marker for inflammation in the body. High LDL cholesterol coupled with inflamed arteries is thought to be a dangerous combination, which can lead to deposits of plaque on artery walls.
Lipoprotein (a) is a genetic variation of LDL (bad) cholesterol. A high level of Lp(a) is a significant risk factor for the premature development of fatty deposits in arteries.
Apolipoproteins (Apo's) are the proteins which attach themselves to the fats in our blood. High levels of Apo A appears to be protective against heart disease, whereas high levels of Apo B is represents a higher risk of heart disease.
Who is this test for?
This test is for anybody wishing to assess their risk of heart disease, particularly those with a family history of the condition or who know that their lifestyle might put them at increased risk of cardiovascular disease.
