when i owned my gyms many manufactures were going to a 7 degree slant on the smith.. the reason being that it "duplicated" the bodys own natural movements.. well maybe.. but looking at it i would think that the eccentric would be compromised on the 7 degree slant. and essentially you would also be pushing against the railings.. just my take.. the straight up and down version would seem to be a better version.. i have used both.. what is the verdict??
