I pay $1700 a month for the best insurance family plan Blue Cross Blue Shield offers so I figured I’d take advantage of it and have my doctor test me for everything you could possibly think of. Ive felt like shit for years can’t figure out why had so many blood tests done. I figured I had a rare GH anti-body thing going on in me and GH was what was causing me to feel sick since but looks like that’s not it. Couple things. It’s insane how fast I metabolize test because normally at 20 mg intramuscular every day my levels are in the 900’s with free test 250. I always get blood work done approximately 24 hours after the last shot of test. Just had those tests performed a week before this from the same lab. This time it was around 32hrs and levels were 694 and free 130. Looks like my vap test needs improvement but I’m not surprised because I haven’t done cardio in about 8 months and I only train maybe two days a week now for 25 or 30 minutes I don’t have the greatest diet. Not sure what the thrombin clotting time is but the doctor said my number is OK apparently. My appointment is next week I just got a copy of the results today. I was very dehydrated this day got my blood test done later in the day only had maybe a liter of water and me when normally at that time I would have at least 4 liters. What’s crazy is all these tests took up 100 mL of blood the lady drawing my blood counted. I was just about to donate but I think I’ll wait another few weeks. Not really sure what all of the cholesterol things mean but I will find out in a week.

PSA

Noticed your PSA came back .4. Wow that is low. Mine was up to 5 this last time, why I'm having issues. What is your age?

35. It’s always been low. In fact when I did my genetic testing came back as one of the things I’m late least likely to get prostate cancer. From what I read the more frequently you ejaculate the better for your prostate. I usually do a minimum of 5 to 6 days a week wether it’s with the wife or the laptop.

My PSA has always been .4 except for one time it was .3 On or off cycle same thing. I am 57 never get up at night. BP stays the same pretty much and cholesterol levels don't change much either. Go figure.

Don't think I've ever seen bloods so complete and through.

And damn it, you guys in the US pay an arm and a leg for health insurance, huh?

I think the prostate is another example of genetics at work. My father had problems in his early 50s and now I am having my issues in my late 40s. I think my steroid use probably just made my issues happen years earlier. They say all men though if they live long enough will have prostate problems. It is just a matter of when. Youre lucky! Nenign Prostate Hypertrophy.

From Web MD:

"Overall, the number of men with BPH increases progressively with age. By age 60, 50% of men will have some signs of BPH. By age 85, 90% of men will have signs of the condition. About one third of these men will develop symptoms that require treatment."

Health insurance isn't that expensive if you have a decent job that provides it. The coverage isn't bad either. It used to be better 20 years ago though. At least we don't pay 40-50% taxes here in the US.

You wouldn’t be saying this if you were in CA :(

Yeah, or New York and New Jersey. I looked up what our tax rates would be in CA and it was more than 2x what it is in my state. Crazy. Glad I don't live there.

Health insurance is pretty much a joke for me. Sure I don't pay a whole lot for it since it's provided by my job, but they reject a lot of things, take forever to approve anything, and then mess up on the coding EVERY TIME :banghead:

It could be worse though!
