Well im now 2 wks out from my 1st show. Im right about 199lbs. Judging by my diet changes he has made i will start to fill out as im hard but flat. increased calories and them in time to come increased carbs. Im standing 5'10 26yrs old. As stated in my previous updates i know my total focus after the show is catching my legs up. They have never been good but come hell or highwater i will make them grow.

Honestly

IF you increase calories NOW.........especially carbs............you will get fatter..........and you are not lean enough now......I do not understand that approach.............if you had more muscle you would not be " flat" ..ever see Sean Ray " flat"? Dorian " flat" ? You just need mor emuscle AND to get a lot leaner.......

I have also been given 8 oz sweet potato every day now instead of 2 on 2 off. maybe just to throw my body through a loop, maybe im way off i have no idea. My diet changes again friday which will put me at 8 days out. ill post pics up weekly but when it all boils down to it, it matters what happens the day of the show.
And Phil, again I dont know. I have no experience in this. im not coming off like i know what im doing just trying to update where im at and what im being told. maybe ill be a learning experience for others what not to do or maybe ill come in great, who knows.

you look like you NEVER did ANY leg work of ANY kind.
and i really hate when people say "its gonna be a learning experience"blabla
WHY put yourself through all the bullshit, time and money????

just because you can just JUMP on stage doesnt mean you belong up there

I dont take this as insulting at all. I appreciate your honesty and valid input. I wish i could say i have had back or leg injuries but i dont. They just dont grow. They are growing better now than ever which is sad in the sense they used to be worse.
What made me do this show is to make sure i have focus. if I look the best i possibly can, then I will be happy even if i dont place. Its kinda a me vs me thing to prove I can do it and to motivate myself to keep digging. i dont have the genetics to be a pro or even a top contender but at the end of the day if i come in the best shape i possibly can then I cant ask for anything more. its not a big show and especially not a nat. qualifier. Its just something i have always admired and want to add it to my list of things to do. I know I wont do one for a couple yrs after and will spend the time growing but now just worked well with my schedule so i decided to do so.
how would i go about qualifying for the wheel chair show? lol jk.

I have to agree with Tenny. Bodybuilding is expensive. And apparently you are paying someone to help you with diet. the problem is, you dont have enough muscle to do well, unless the show sucks. Your legs really do look like you have not put much training into them at all. I mean, from the side, your legs are really small bro. Your condition is OK, but without muscle, you are not going to look good. Take the time to put the work into you physique. Make the learning experience the dieting part. No sense going thru all this just to look like half a body showed up.
Dont take offense to this. I'm sure you worked hard, but you didnt put in enough time in the gym to get on stage yet, and this physique you are presenting is a waste of your time and money. Put the time in. Do the work. Then get on stage when your look like a bodybuilder.

You have a great body.....you look fantastic.............just not top 10 in a state show or a big show.......you would never look BAD...........just in comparison to the MONSTERS, you need more muscle.

Haha - that WAS funny! Anyway, I'm in total agreement, the wheels are killing you bro - but on the other hand your upper body looks good and I can tell you've put in a lot of time. Keep it up! I'm going to go do squats now...

One other thing that crossed my mind when reading through this, if you do or dont decide to compete, I'd continue pushing your diet until you're completley contest ready. After, slowly begin introducing calories, pound away, and really get that rebound effect. The increase in insulin sensitivity and responsiveness from your body should help bring those legs up and really put on some more size.

your upper body looks good, and i bet that's the reason you decided to do a show. judging by your upper body i bet you have not put any real work on your legs, if you work your legs half as hard as you do your upper body, they would grow. now take all this comments and use them as fuel to kill those legs!!!
