So, my BP is naturally low, like 10/6 or 11/7.

Had a really shitty week (work related) and started feeling the symptoms, headache, lightheaded, distorted vision, etc...

162/99.

This is VERY VERY high for me and I feel like death, since my body is used to lower BP.

Not hormone related, I'm not taking anything. Just good old stress...

Anyways, put some watermelon with seeds in the blender with just a bit of water, beat it for a minute and drank like a liter.

One hour later it's 128/85.

Remember, WITH the seeds... Do not strain.

You can also use chayote for HBP.

Interesting.

Thanks for sharing.

Is this something you have read along the way or is this a cultural thing?

You're welcome.

I believe there are some studies, if you dig. But this is stuff my grandma used to say, so also cultural...

x2

This is why citrulline is called what it is. It's is named after the Latin word for watermelon (citrullus) because that is where it was first found/isolated.

I love watermelon but they can cost $7 for a small one over here

Are they as good as the watermelon seeds back in the 80s?
My dad told me in 1983 his blood pressure was 180/100 and he ate a whole watermelon and it went down to 40/12. Back in the 80's though.

I also have low blood pressure naturally, and I've dealt with something similar to what you're going through now. The only thing that really helped me was to relax, close my eyes, and try to calm myself. I had to cut back on the stims drastically too to help even it out.

Good luck!

The good ol days, when all watermelons were pharm grade and there were no UGL melons.

I paid 20 cents per kg. Got one yesterday that weighted 13kg. It was the smallest one at the market.
I have seen huge ones for $20 before. They even sell a slice of watermelon for about $4 in some supermarket fridges. The cheapest (on offer) for a small one (maybe 3kg) would be about $3 but that is rare. I usually pay about $5 but paid $7 for a small one 2 days ago. It didn't even taste that nice (for watermelon) Although I guess it can balance out as many people over here get paid many times more than people in Brazil. It's still a rip off here though.

Well damn Allex, I hope the upcoming days go better for you than the past few. That kind of raise in BP is scary without a doubt.
