abcess/ hematoma or what ever it is ???

hey all, i just finished reading all these posts about abcess's and hemotoma and doctors cutting one open and sticking a drain and gauze in the wound, freaked me out , cause i have had this lump on my glute for the last 3 weeks, kinda big like a golf ball maybe bigger, finally i got the balls to stick a 18g pin in there, and i ended up draining out like 60-75- CC , yes 75cc of this fluid. it was thick reddish and dark purple, with some black parts(dried blood i assume) . no green or puss like fluid, didnt smell . i had no adverse reations from this thing, just curious if someone had anything like thisand if so what is it? . i still probally have some in there yet, but i started to get what looked like just blood coming out so i figured i better stop. any suggestions, commets or help is appreciated. i know some will say just go to the Doctor, but i figured id give this a shot before i went , seemed to help a lot. the area isnt so tight and hard. and it is 90% more comfortable to sit and move around.

Bro, when you seem to have what you have, why the hell mess around with it? Just go to the doctor, give them a BS story and get it fixed for real. Tell them you were using SEO (ha ha in the glute) or B-12, whatever. You draining it yourself could irritate it and make the infection even worse. Not to mention you could need Keflex or some other antibiotic...

There was a guy on the UG maybe a month ago, same thing, but in his shoulder. He finally went to a doctor and said he was so glad he did. He ended up having to have it drained 3-4 times and be put on an antibiotic.

Go to the doctor.

Did it swell immediatly or did it take a couple days?

I have a knot about the size of a golf ball on my left glut that has been there for years and never hurt or had any swelling. It never even got red. I dont know what the hell it is. maybe scar tissue but it came on just to fast for it to be scar tissue.

today its better

today it is much better, it is a little swollen, from the 18gpin sticks i guess, but pain is gone, Kaotic, it started to hurt and swell like 3 days after injection. draining it seems to work, so im gonna give that a try first.
