4 weeks ago today i had arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn labrum in my hip and to shave down the bone spur that was causing the tear. The procedure took roughly 2 hours and was completed at the hospital for special surgery in nyc. anyways had lived with the injury since completing my college wrestling career 3 years ago and had constant pain on the front of my hip. I had avoided surgery because i was scared shitless that i would never be the same afterwards. So here i am 4 weeks later and i know consider the hip i had surgery on my good hip. I had no idea the advances they had made in orthopedic procedures and my reason for posting this is to encourage others who are living in so much pain to seriously consider the option. I was on a stationary bike 3 hours after surgery and back lifting upper body at the gym after 2 weeks. Anyways hope this story maybe helps somebody out there who has been putting up with an injury only because they are scared of not being one hundred percent after surgery. Am expecting to be better than one hundred percent of my pre surgery state in only another month or so. (cant wait to hit up squats again)
