He could easilly carry 300lb barrels of salt pork or drinking water, one under each arm.

Lifting a 1700lb anchor to his shoulders & carrying it down a wharf was something that is only rivalled by the Bibles' Samson ripping a city gate off of its hinges and carrying it up a nearby hill...

Guys like Bill Kasmier, Ted Arcidi & Anthony Clark are strong indeed, but Angus was truly amazing!

Imagine if he had access to all the AAS we have today. He'd be a bloody elephant!

he died a long time ago. interestingly as time passes feats of strength and poundages seam to magically increase. i have no doubt he was a big strong man but i'm sure time has embellished his accomplishments.
